I suupose most of us on here have never known anything different to how the Main Stand looks now. It will be a sad day when it gets ripped down but it's for the best.

I can just about remember when the Main Stand had a standing area at the front, I remember standing in it when we beat Manchester City in the FA Cup 4-1. Apart from that it is more or less unchanged.

Look at that bloke standing on the girder. Is he harnessed up? And not a yellow vest in sight.
The good old days. Bet he didnt do a risk assessment either.

Never seen this before, it's a photo of the old Main Stand, not sure of the year.

I would guess that photo above was taken around 1910. The boat club is also visible behind the stand.

Passed over Trent Bridge on a National Express bus last night and looked across to the City Ground. It gave me goosebumps.
