I remember saying before that it will probably take more than one window to shift all the players that need offloading.

Be brilliant if we managed it in one window though.

Spot on Frochy, it's going to be a massive task to shift some of these players on.

Whoever starts as manager this season, I hope that the fans really, REALLY get behind them.

This all day long. We seem to put pressure on our manager at the first sign of a blip. The fact is, if our December blip had gained us a few more points or the MON blip had stopped a game or 2 earlier, we would with an average squad, lots of key injuries and yet more upheaval been top 6. 

I think 20 Years of general crapness has changed our mentality. We had bad days at the office under the great man, or struggled without key players, but we kind of knew we would come out the other side. (Even when sitting bottom of the league I thought Cloughie would find some magic). Now, the mentality seems to be a blip is the start of another slide down the league which can only be stopped by replacing the manager. 

I know I sound a bit like the much maligned "happy clapper brigade"-which I am not- I think supporters have to get behind the manager for 46 league games next season as does the board, owner, local press and dare I say it the online community. I hope that it is MON. It's a bit embarrassing that with his CV, people are now saying that the last couple of games show he might have a clue about football management and how to use players properly etc...

Edit: wasn't meant to develop into such a rant, not really my style, but I think I got across the point I was trying to make. It was Alfs second REALLY that got me motivated.

I will get behind MON if he doesn’t sell Carv or Lolley, if those two go I’m done. If that happened I know what’s coming next season.

I’d be amazed if JL is here next year and Sheff United have been in contact with his agent or vice versa. Don’t know what the release clause is in his contract, but around £12m+ and he’s gone which is the reality of our situation having been out of EPL for far too long.

You would think that either of them will only be sold if they are not in the managers plans; it would be a very brave manager who would countenance those sales.

The very first signs of a run of bad results and those transfers will be used as a stick to beat the manager with by the supporters.

It is not as if we need to sell to buy or to comply with P & S; the sale of Brereton made last seasons dealings P & S neutral.

The prospective sale of Osborn, if it happens, will only enhance the situation; we are in a good financial position to go for promotion if EM wants to.

I think he'll stay
He was a prem player before and did nowt up there. Firstly I think he likes playing for us, secondly likes being a first team regular and lastly being the superstar at a club.
He's an intelligent lad who I hope will have the nounce to be able to see through an agent trying to cash in.
