Brilliant win SA.
Amazing what you can achieve when you play your best players in their best positions, wonder why the manager never though of that before, when it really mattered!!!!

So I'm more than thrilled that Forest got the win and blew Boro' (a play off chasing team) away. I can live with missing all of Forest's games if they win 'without me.' ;) A vindication for having patience for Reds Legend MoN and you never know, this might happen more often. As for best players in best positions. This is Aitor's team built to play Aitor's way. Not many on here would have come up with the '3' at the back line up today and seen Car and Lolley as they were. Martin put out an innovative line up with an imagination teasing formation. It's taken Martin O'Neill perhaps longer than he would have liked to have found a '90 minute' side out of 'that lot.' (I don't recall one single 90 minute performance out of Aitor's time here...and he had a year...and MoN's had, what? 15 games? Barely over a 1/4 of a season?) But when you have 44 players who aren't yours and you're not only got to watch them in match conditions...but find the winning combination of those 44 players in match condition then it was only a matter of time he would find a combination....that suits how he wants his team to play. When it mattered? It takes the time it does. Had MoN been brought in during late November when Aitor's wagon was losing his wheels? Then we may have had a late play off charge. Time. MoN's side playing some breathtaking stuff from what I could see from the highlights. And Milo's goal? What a beauty. SA.

Just don’t understand the need to rewrite history SA?

Not getting carried away SA let’s see what the formation is v QPR. If the manager reverts to type then I really do want him gone. Pleased for him yesterday though, given him food for thought.

The thing is, I’m praising MON for the team yesterday, but I’m also sat here banging my head against the desk asking myself why has it taken so long for him to realise 3 DCM’s didn’t allow for us to be creative, That Murphy has his place as a last 20 min battering ram but as a starter we put ourselves on the back foot as he doesn’t have the ability to move for passes and stretch teams to create space, Yates is good box to box but is not the more forward of a DCM 3, Carv can make things happen. These are things fans have been shouting out for months since he joined and it could be that because of the Colback yellow card he has been forced to make these changes. I am now wondering will he keep it for QPR to see what we can do or will he change it all around and go back to diamond with a big man up top. And if he is changing the team any chance he could try Cash in Centre Mid instead of Pele. Pele looks ok but I just have this feeling we already have a ready made CM in Cash rather than as a wing back.

I cannot understand why many in here are using yesterdays performance to attack MON. They are blaming him (instead of the players) for the indifferent form showed in the past months. They attack him because he wasnt playing Carvalho.
I wish to remind you that the formation we played v Villa wasnt much different from the one we started with today, infact many would say that the starting eleven on that day was even better as we had Colback in the team. Yesterday`s formation was revolutionary, the majority in here were saying that it was like a formation drawn from a bingo bag... it turned out to be a masterstroke...and instead of giving the well done to all those involved, many in here choose to attack MON. Yesterday`s performance wasnt a follow up of the AK`s last game, before the Leeds game, we went for five games without a win, and apart from the Norwich suicide game (3-3) we could hardly score, so there was no champaine football on offer. The probability is that on Saturday MoN will start with the same team as the one that started yesterday, with a probable swap between Karim and Grabban. Lets see if there isnt a similar performance or QPR will do a job on us and, again, MoN will get the blame. For me MoN is not immune from critisism but most of players must look at the mirror themselves, as they are the major culprits of our downward form. Who knows, maybe some words were said on the weekend and some ultimatums give (to some of the players), and these same players had to react. And place we have to be careful on the gossip, before the last two games, first we had Milo frozen out (came back and played two good games), and then the frozen out of Robinson (came back yesterday and was rewarded with the captain`s armband, far from being frozen out)... Fellas we are all Forest fans, let us give MoN time, he is no mug, and pls lets stop with this Jurassic bullshit, again yesterday we showed (from kick off) that we know how to play football on the ground .... rarely there was any hoof ball, and most of the trough balls (especially in the first half) came from Wague and Milos at the back and Pele in the middle... and what about Ozzys through ball to Karim (the penalty incident)? if it came from Carvalho there would be an uproar here ... pls watch the game again and you will notice that it was in the second half that Carvalho really came to life, in the first half it was the Ozzy`s, Pele and Yates of this world that dominated Boro`s midfield .... in the second half Boro didnt know what hit them and everything started to become simple...
