Got to wonder if City have been buying votes.

Chelsea / Enzo Fernandes
Us / Elliott Anderson
Everton / N’Dye and Grealish
Spurs / Savio & Marmoush
Leeds / Trafford

Some weird deals there

The whole City and Arab goverment money plus political pressue is corupt and if the PL fold on this which I suspect they will with a large fine then we might as well all give up, most sports these days have been debased with money plus egos!

The cost is £116m, cash up front and we'll look after you in any vote.

Its not beyond the realms of possibility.

A points deduction big enough to guarantee relegation wouldn't need a vote so hopefully it'll be something along those lines.

It's absolutely ridiculous that the punishment is made up after you have found guilty of the crime. Was with us and Everton, even worse with City (due the number of charges).

As mentioned before what about after 2018? No way they suddenly became squeaky clean.

And the buying votes suggestion is very interesting, it makes some sense, or maybe they are expecting a transfer embargo.

There are definitely more twists to this still to come.

Even when the punishment *is* decided they can appeal that too (like we did). So there's still:

- The appeal against the verdict. Deadline is today. Can't see that being overturned personally
- Possible court action against the verdict but apparently the scope of that is limited and they can't go to CAS
- An appeal against whatever the sanctions are (presuming the guilty verdict isn't overturned)

If they go to the endth degree then the High Court is the last resort.
Listening to a lawyer earlier on this, and if that route is pursued it could take 5 yrs !
They actually think they are above the law. This could well take down English football. Imagine if they win the league this season

UAE officials have started threatening the UK government that they might review further investments now if Man City get harshly punsihed.

That's reason enough to throw the book at them. Like you say R73 they seem to think they're above the law.

This is the problem when a state owns a football club and cant understand that the PL is a company separate from the country its in. It like threating america if you get a bad deal from Amazon.
