Good point on the road and nice to get the season up and running.

McAtee looked good with time on the ball and Neco giving his all as always.

Lots of positives to take.

Yep, thought that too. But you win some you lose some.

Just seen Ndoye's goal - lovely calm finish. More of that please.

Thats what i find so frustrating with him. He's lethal on positions like that, but time after time he throws himself to the floor before he gets on that position.

Think Aina got a let off too though, so the ref was ok.

We played with the usual handicap because of the ref favouring Liverpool. There is no way on Earth MacAllister shouldn’t have been booked. 3 times he committed yellow card offences in the first half. If he’s booked he can’t do the subsequent ones which stops our attacks.

And it’s little things that are less obvious. Neco was fouled tackling one of their players and it goes for a corner. The other way around the foul is given. You have to defend one more corner instead of getting possession. This sort of thing all adds up and is a handicap. At the end, one final chance with us having the ball on the edge of their box so the ref blows the whistle. You think that happens the other way around - I mean we’ve seen exactly the opposite that’s cost us goals at the City Ground against Liverpool.

Neco and McAtee interview after the game. Neco asked about the speculation regarding his move away and he fudged the question. He maybe going.

Nah - standard footballer answer - no player would come out and say ill never leave as the club may have other ideas- all I’m focussed on is the badge I’m wearing - flattered as I must be doing well… what was he supposed to say? Of he was to go it would be absolutely top dollar!
