I've only just gone and done the same thing on the transfer thread. Now I see yours.

For a team playing 3-4-2-1 I would expect the following numbers in and around the squad.
GK x 3
DC x 7
RWB x 2
LWB x 2
MC x 5
No 10's x 4
St x 3

So 26 tops with a few of those numbers used by youth and some players able to cover multiple areas so reducing the numbers required.

If we were to qualify for Europe in the 2027/28 season then we really need Abbott out on loan this season to get further experience and play 50 odd matches.
