So annoying that they stayed up last season. Stupid Villa and Everton.

Yep, that Villa game will go down as a real sliding door moment for them. They'll be much stronger next season for sure which means one less relegation competitor for us. And if one of the promoted teams does well too then there's even more pressure on us to perform.

So if Spurs improved significantly, we push on too and one of the promoted 3 do well, then it means another established or bigger team are going to be fighting it out. So maybe Leeds or Palace? Maybe even Newcastle? I can't see any of the other prem teams sliding. Fulham?

It's massively important we get off to a good start I reckon. Muck the first five games up and it could be curtains for VP and our season.

Don't forget Sunderland too, can't imagine they will do as well, particularly with European games to deal with.

Sunderland finished pretty well though after having a bit of a bad run in the last third of the season. And I can imagine they'll be adding to their squad too.

Newcastle have lost Gordon and may lose Tonali too. If they don't/can't replace those two with some quality then they might struggle perhaps?

Fulham will have a new coach - will he do the business? Is their recent success just down to Silva?

Palace have a new coach and European football to deal with. I think they winged it with their squad depth last season. If they dont add quality this time around could they struggle?

Everton have Moyes so I cant see them being poor with him at the helm.

Leeds maybe need to add players?

Looking at the challenge ahead it looks tough for us, and a few other clubs too. We need to get off to a flier.

Realistically I think at least 2 of the promoted teams will go straight back down. Coventry Im not sure about but again 17th is probably their ambition.
Leeds weren’t great at all for most of the season. Tottenham most thought would have been OK with Frank and actually managed to get worse. Sunderland were amazing but could well have been a flash in the pan. We do need to strengthen well for me, as a minimum a new CF and Anderson replacement to make us remotely competitive then other upgrades too if we want to be comfortable.

If other clubs' forums are having a similar debate to this then they'll be looking at us and saying we've struggled in 3 of the last 4 seasons, we're losing our biggest player and we're probably odds on to have a new manager after 10 games. They'll have us down to be a favourite to go down, if one of the promoted 3 are decent.

I can see Coventry doing the best out of the three because I rate Lampard. Ipswich with a new coach? No sure about that. And Hull I have no idea so I've got them down to struggle, albeit I probably said the same about Sunderland this time last year.
