Hard to see how they can get worse. I believe we won the game last week partly because Tudor changed their shape at half time which made them worse. Thats what he was doing a lot of apparently. That stuff's gonna change now. They still have to do the business of course on the pitch (Frank couldn't get them going), but their tactical approach will be more sound now.

Seems like they're confident of persuading De Zerbi given they seem to be negotiating in public. Surely an upgrade on Tudor sadly.

Took him 6 games to get his first win at Brighton. Going to be an interesting end to the season all round

I'd be ok with that at Spurs.

No matter who the manager, an away trip to Sunderland this season is a very difficult game. Especially when Sunderland are pushing for a euro place.

De Zerbi, very good manager and if he comes in at the Spuds it will make our task more difficult as I think he will save their season.

I’d really got my hopes up it would be one of the names mentioned like Hughton, Hoddle or Redknapp.

Would imagine De Zerbi is agreeing a water tight contract with a huge bonus to keep them up and a break clause if relegated. Hopefully he thinks it isnt worth the risk but suspect he goes for it.

Tottenham negotiating ploy will be " If you dont take it now then we arent offering you the job in the summer"

I'm not convinced any new manager can come in, flick a switch and everything be ok. Even though Thomas Frank was/is regarded as a tactically sound manager it still fell apart under him. So unless De Zerbi delivers a new manager bounce, they may continue to struggle.

Doesn't De Zerbi play some double pivot system or something in midfield? Will he be capable of installing that immediately and it delivering an instant result?

He's a pretty abrasive character too - no guarantee Spurs' players will take to his methods (if it even happens).
