Current Players Thread
He probably deserves it but he was a bit dead by the end because of whatever he tweaked

He deserves a start tomorrow. He isn’t the greatest finisher in the world but he does get into the box and causes a threat. I think we would score more goals if he played ahead of Anderson. Not sure we need Anderson and Sangare playing at the same time. They are both excellent in deep positions but do not provide much threat in the final third and I think Sangare has marginally better defensive qualities. A key player for me would be Cunha. If he is fit he can bring the ball forward and a good distributor like Murillo. Having them two would lessen the need for a deep lying playmaker which is the role Anderson tends to fill.

Given that he couldn’t walk for the last five minutes of the Midtyjlland game and wanted to come off I would be genuinely amazed if he is fit enough to start.

I’m again worried neco gets some serious offers in the summer

Anderson will go, probably Murillo too unfortunately regardless of what happens (although a CL place might alter things). If we stay up no chance EM allows more than that to leave. Neco contracted to 2029.

Even if we drop there won't be a mass exodus.

Yates would replace Anderson, Cunha would replace Murillo and McAtee would replace MGW.

I wouldn't expect the likes of Aina, Williams, Milenkovic, Hutchinson, Wood, Taiwo, Jesus, Sels etc to leave.

What would be *really* interesting would be if we went down but won the Europa League. Championship yeah - but Champions League too.....

I'd expect the remainder to be choices in that scenario. I think we'd choose to cash in on Milenkovic for example, can easily get Steve Cook esque CBs in the Championship.

I'd expect our Championship team to look a lot like Thursdays team except Jesus or Wood in for Lucca.

Let’s not even go there…… would be a disaster.
We need to remain a Prem club
There would be more than just Murillo, Anderson and MGW leave.

Also a load of staff behind the scenes would lose their job ( they are already aware). It’s absolutely imperative we keep momentum and remain in the Prem.

MGW - how has he not got in the squad ahead of Barnes? His best scoring season and his form can’t be questioned.

Tuchel  doesnt rate him is the word.

I hope we leave Neco on corner duty for the rest of the season. His deliveries yesterday were superb, particularly the cross for Awoniyi's goal. Fast, flat and incredibly difficult to defend against.

I was saying this with us staying up. He’s showing to be mr consistent for us and that he’ll be coveted.

I again wonder who will take MGW in the summer if he is to move on? I suppose Chelsea could sell most of their squad and start again with a new manager?

Depending on how the WC goes I could see Arsenal in for ando

If we’re not in European comps next season do we really see Jesus becoming a prolific prem goal scorer?
