I will tell you this now.
If Dyche had come in 3 yrs ago, Murillo would be back in Brazil, and we’d be calling the recruitment team for signing a dud.
By all accounts, and stuff i hear, the lads really rate Cunha, and he can’t even get a game !
McAtee is another one that is really highly regarded by MGW and Ando, they think he should be in the team.
He has his best game for us 2 weeks ago, and hasn’t got on the pitch since !
Dyche talks about the nuts and bolts, the hard yards, but is blind to players with technical ability.
The only reason he hasn’t fell out with MGW or Anderson is because he would lose the entire dressing room.
The glare MGW gave to Dyche at Leeds, when Dyche was trying to explain to him about taking him off was telling.

So are you saying he’s lost the likes of Milenkovic, Murillo, CHO, Aina, Sangare and Williams? Or is it juat the likes of McAtee, Bakwa etc? What happens now then? If the players are downing tools because they don’t like his style etc like they did with Ange then they can’t think much of us fans

I think anyone at work who is clearly better than a colleague, but whose manager promotes the weaker colleague, is going to want to leave. And the other people who work there will not be happy either when the manager’s bad decisions drags their results down, and will speak to headhunters and check the jobs boards. This is oh so common in offices because people can hide behind words and ‘performance reviews’. But in football we can all see it.

I didn’t say he has lost the dressing room.
I said the reason he won’t fall out with MGW and Ando is because he would lose it.
You don’t need to be a genius to realise technical international level attacking players, arent enjoying this.
Come on let’s be real about this.

What I would say also the likes of MGW, Ando and Neco are demanding from their colleagues. They love the club, and I would never question. The effort of these lads. These are genuinely good people,
Just because the dont like tactics, doesn’t mean they aren’t giving 100% effort

It has been a very quiet weekend from Forest. Radio Silence. They haven’t uploaded Dyche’s post match interview. Hardly any player other than the debutants have posted on their Socials. Something is brewing in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply Reds73. I wasn’t being funny with you just asking the question as you mentioned falling out with MGW and Anderson would mean losing the entire dressing room. I took that to mean he’d lost many of the others already. I get that technically gifted players won’t like his style or tactics. I’m not a fan of them myself but I also try to be balanced in recognising we were in a mess when he came in and whilst the style may be poor in the main we’ve picked up points. Let’s hope that irrespective of whether Dyche remains in charge or not till the end of the season, the likes of MGW, Ando and Williams can pull us through.

The recurring theme has been first XI ok, any backups are all terrible. That goes beyond the managers we've had. All beset with same problem
Syrianos is only one I trust tbh.
I going to disagree here.
Last summer we only lost one regular fist teamer and that was Elanga.
So last seasons team is still here, the same team except for one who spent most of last season in the top 3.
With that in mind our summer signings were made with one eye on the future, young players who can improve and eventually replace the likes of Murillo, MGW, CHO, Wood etc etc.
So with 99% of last years team who did so well still starting this season that to me points to the current coaching team being the weak link.
Well except the star striker, not to mention Aina was injured for most of the first half. Not signing another decent fullback was a big error.
Yes but Wood and Aina were both fit at the start of the season and in summer when we were making signings.
But when they got injured we had next to nothing to replace them with. The lack of a full back was criminal. Relying on wood when you have extra games fanciful. We spent millions on dross when previously we had a technical data led approach. The difference this summer is stark. It created a scenario where the entire backup squad can't get near the first team. That's poor recruitment
Of course we did.
We signed 2 Strikers in the summer and 2 full backs.
We are Nottingham Forest and we cannot have a 25 man squad all costing 50, 60, 70, 80 million each. We are not Manchester City or Chelsea. Unfortunately we have to pick up some loans and players who cost 10-30M and you don't get much for 30M these days.
Lets have a bit of reality.

So OK I don’t understand Morato above Cunha he went for the experienced option on Friday. Other than that you aren’t dropping Milenkovic or Murillo for Cunha.
Who are you dropping for McAtee? Anderson, Sangare, Dominguez, MGW? None of the above realistically.
You never wanted Dyche, I get it but who was your alternative in the situation we were in? Who else would have stabilised a defence that had forgotten the basics? Who else would have galvanised an already broken dressing room.?

Has Dyche stabilised the defence and galvanised the dressing room? There was a bit of a new manager bounce and we’ve had a few results like the Brentford one, but we’ve also had some shockers like Everton and Leeds

Your post SM also raises another point.
Some like to slate our recruitment and so called 'back ups'.
Ask yourself (not you SM directly) what type of player is going to sign for Nottingham Forest knowing that you are going to be a so called 'back up' because nobody is going to replace Aina, Williams, Milenkovic, Murillo, Sanagre, Anderson, MGW etc.

Just personal opinion but think our options at the time were limited in some ways due to the fact we had just paid off Nuno and then Ange (plus their teams). So meant we couldn’t really afford PSR wise to pay the large compensation for the likes of someone like Silva, if indeed he/they would have agreed to come.

Yep precisely, there was no alternative!
So now we either stick with Dyche and support him or get a 4th manager of the season which is both ridiculous and good chance may not work even if someone decent does want the job which is unlikely.
