I wonder if we'll ever get to a place where we say 'Right, this is how we play football' and the identity runs from first team through all the academy stages and all managerial appointments are based on *that* - rather than being short-term fixes?

The lack of long term strategy at this club is what has frustrated me for years. Strategy is what you say above, its not just signing a young left back. All we ever seem to do is react to the current situation.

I think Ross Wilson was trying, before him Murphy I think was trying to build a vision rather than a short term fix. Its what Edu should be doing but Im far from convinced about him.
