We did for the first half hour or so. Had 60% possession at that point! Not sure what happened after that.
For me it feels a confidence thing. We started ok and got the goal and our tails were up and we were playing well. Then a few passes started to go astray and with Brentford closing us down and getting more into the game we seemed to loose all confidence and stopped passing and went more long ball constantly turning over possession which played into Brentford’s hands.

The correlation between Forest conceding zero goals and Josh posting zero posts on Matchday threads is strong.

Wow, can’t believe how poor our pass completion stats are from yesterday, only saw those when I got home.
Apparently there was no phase of play in the second half where we completed more than four consecutive passes!?
None of that is on Dyche, players of this standard/quality have to do much better.

Give it a rest. People like you are the reason this forum is on the way down
He’s not wrong though.
I’m just at the airport so did a quick look at the last few match threads and your post count:
Brentford: 1 (the one I’ve quoted above in response to SR)
Arsenal: 0
Wrexham: 10
West Ham: 5 (3 when we were losing

This is my thinking. The team showed in that first 20-25 minutes what they can do and we were playing well and looked like we could easily get a second. A few sloppy passes, Murillo in particular (passing it straight out and/or to Brentford players) and little tricks not coming off and we reverted to going long. As I earlier posted I think it’s confidence and almost just getting rid and not being the one to make the error. I don’t see that as Dyche’s tactics.

Jesus only has 30minutes in his body. He's been like it since the Man City game.

The inconsistency is baffling, as you say its not even game to game, its within the same match. Couldn’t do 4 passes. Yet just a few weeks ago we knocked the ball between us for 5 minutes straight whilst 3-0 up vs Spuds.
Im pretty certain Dyche isnt saying in training “right no passing between you, every ball gets hoofed 50yds or youre dropped”.

I think Murillo is the biggest culprit personally, was surprised he got man of the match.

This is it, there's obviously going to a split of opinion but the forum isn't going downhill whilst the same posters are here for wins and losses.

Yes that surprised me too. He gave the ball away a few times. One simple pass out to Williams went straight into touch, then several passes when looked like he was trying the hollywood ball went straight to Brentford players. Our wingers baffle me as well when they play. None seem keen to take on their full back and always seem to slow the play down and come backwards before crossing. I get there is only usually Jesus in the box but his goal yesterday and the one v Wrexham for example came from us getting to the by line and crossing it.

Yup - Aina really showed the wingers what they should be doing! It wasn't even a good cross to Jesus (after some fantastic play and effort to get to that point) but just getting it to the by line makes such a difference!

Yep i'd love to see our wingers do what Schade did for Brentford early on and try and blitz the full back and get an early ball in , much harder for defenders to defend crosses when they're chasing back to their own goal . Our wingers invariably check back and play the safe option or when they do get round to crossing it they've dithered too long and the defenders are all in position and set to defend.
Drives me nuts to be honest.
