Looks as if Wood is out for the season.
He needs leaving out of the 25 man squad. And we need two Strikers not one.

Pete O'Rourke reporting this as well. Could this be the end of CW's career with Forest.

If you look at our team, I think you can tier them:
Elite Tier (could play for any team): Murillo, Anderson Very Good (would probably look good in a team like Villa but not good enough for the very top teams): MGW, Neco Good Last Year (were Very Good or Elite last year but have not matched that this year): Aina, Milenkovic, Sels, Wood Potential to be Very Good (this category is more controversial): Sangare, Hutchinson, Luiz, Igor Jesus Solid Prem Players: CHO, Dominguez Young but Disappointing (could probably put all our new signings in here): Mcatee, Bakwa Listing this out, does make you realise our team is pretty average really. We have four players that would be coveted by most teams but how many of the rest would get in a top half PL team? Particularly based on this year. Obviously Aina and Wood injuries have taken away two of our best players from last year. I would still expect us to be doing better and you would hope a better manager could actually get something out of Bakwa, Mcatee etc. However, we're not suddenly a top 5 squad or overly close to it. That said I suspect most of the bottom half teams would love our squad, not sure Everton, Sunderland (maybe Xhaka), Fulham, Bournemouth, Leeds, West Ham have any players at the level/value of Murillo/Anderson. Partly because they have recently had to sell them.

Hope Wood doesn't miss the World Cup. He's spent his whole career flying over the to the other side of the world to play games for them and now might miss their biggest ever moment.
