Sean Dyche, Stoney And Woany
Watching the game on TV I can only imagine how crushing that second half must've been for their fans. Particularly the spell including their disallowed goal and our equaliser. From being 2-0 up to 1-1 in the blink of an eye really sounded like it knocked the stuffing out of them.

We would be insane to play a full strength side against Hollywood FC. Cunha, Savona, Morato, Abbott play because Zinchenko is crocked again!

Luiz and McAtee. Is Yates back yet? If not, then I guess it has to be Dom. N'Doye if he back and Bakwa. Looks like Taiwo up front for the Lolz.

Rest the first team. Which means Gunn plays too. Anderson looks shot at the moment. He needs a rest. Watching on the Television, the only good player in the midfield was Dom who was charging around and tackling and getting forward and back like he was on a cocaine bender.

We were very very very lucky. We need to fix this midfield and Ando has to push forward with either Yates, Sangare, Dom or Luiz behind him. Him coming deep for the ball does absolutely nothing but slow the game down.

I am going to have a fantasy moment and suggest that we are missing a Conor Gallagher/Kante type who can snap in the tackle and get up and down the field with the ball. Speaking of the former can we try a cheeky loan for him? Luiz is classy if he stays healthy. Still value for money if e can manage him.

If we play like that again against anyone else we will be battered.

Chicago: Breathing a sigh of relief.

Sels and aina play for me having not had much football recently, Aina on the left savona on the right a choice of cunha Abbott and morato in the centre. Dom and luiz in midfield bakwa and ndoye if he’s fit Sinclair if he’s not with mcatee at 10 and the taiwo upfront or give the young sillah ago though it looks like he’s only 5ft8

We did that at Exeter and it f****d us over in the end.

We did it at Swansea and it f****d us over in the end.

There is an eight day gap until Arsenal so plenty of recovery time.

In a shit show of a season this is an opportunity to do something.

We have a squad. We use it. If not now when?

Survival and Europe are our priorities. Playing a full strength side in this game is suicidal... Aina has only just come back from a very long injury. Let Savona play. I like him. If we don't play Jair he is gong to want to leave and apparently he is the next big thing talent wise.

Chicago: Balancing act.

I’ll remind you this at the end of the season when we’ve finished seventeenth and won f**k all.

Reds 73. I could be wrong but I believe the broadcast over here in the good ol' USA said that Zinchenko had a back issue.

I coiuld be loaded up on drugs and dreams on Empire building in Greenland and central and South America but since my only thing of choice is Caffeine I don't believe I went all Mr. Robot and deluded myself into thinking that it wasn't mentioned. I would actually prefer if he was sent back to Arsenal as he is not what we need but hey ho...

Chicago: Imaginary friend.

Tried to do a poll on here before, dont seem to be able to, not sure why.

But I would be interested to see how many of us think the current squad would be performing with different tactics (lets say Nuno was still charge) would we be better?
Or do we think that last season was a bit of a freak, we've lost Wood, Elanga and Aina and without those 3 we arent as good as we like to think? Obviously the manager upheavals need to be taken into account.

Therefore performing to expectations or could do better?

I think the squad had a good season whilst taking advantage of others performing poorly. This small squad that did so well then lost it's best (arguable now) full back, it's counter attacking threat and top scorer.

That meant the signings were key and they've underwhelmed massively bar perhaps early Ndoye and Hutch.

The team is therefore in my view performing as expected until we can get a striker to replace wood.

Interesting question. Personally I think last season we overachieved massively and that has led to some fans thinking we are better than we are/raised expectations. We dropped off towards the end of last season as we a) got found out and b) struggled with injuries, knocks and/or fatigue in a small squad.

When you lose your key striker, a key fullback and one of your main outlets and assist makers then you are going to perhaps struggle as replacements, unless you’re talking top players, inevitably take time to settle/find their feet. In terms of whether this group would be doing better with different tactics or Nuno still here then controversial but no, I don’t think they would. As I say we dropped off under Nuno last season and the 3 games under him this season we were inconsistent. Ange was an attacking style coach and bar 45 mins v Betis and 45 v Swansea we were all over the place, generally poor and couldn’t buy a win. So 3 different coaches with differing styles. For me with this set of players regardless of whoever the coach is we will see inconsistent performances. Some very good ones and some very poor so our position feels right
