A lot of what you are saying might be correct but we spent 200 mil on 14 players in the summer. If we are nowhere near what we need for quality, depth and balance the clubs senior management should be signing on.
Imagine doing your own job that badly.

Tom what/who are you alluding to exactly mate?
Can you be more specific.
In my opinion a new coach could come in at the end of the season, have a full pre-season with the exact same group of players and have us flying next season.

At this stage they could just as likely remain terrible.
In fairness to Tom I think he's alluding to what SM raised early doors on the recruitment thread. There seemed a lack of joined up thinking, of a structured approach to building a squad around the exceptional performance of the first team. A meeting (after several) should have concluded we required various positions and targets identified and assessed by the end of the season. Things like getting a left back on loan last minute, banking on the french league which hasn't worked well for a few seasons now and Omari being done after his clause had expired
I also don't see how NDoye was seen as an elanga replacement when he doesn't have the explosive acceleration Nuno and his successful system requires

That's where the argument gets confusing for me. I think the majority of the signings made sense based on what we knew at the time and what we needed. Presumably they had another left back target that fell through hence the panic there. If you want to criticise the quality of the signings with hindsight of actually seeing them thats fine but not sure its fair to suggest it wasn't well planned/structured.
The stuff with Nuno is the main issue this season and what happened after that. The only issue I see is the failing at left back but we were pretty unlucky with the long term injury to Aina immediately after the deadline. I think if that doesn't happen the LB thing would not be being raised right now as a major issue.

Its rather sad that we are four years into the Prem just spent shy of £200 million on new players and we are hoping that some lower level clubs are losing, we are very much in decline from the highs of last season!!

Exactly. The 23/24 season was exhausting not only having to support Forest but also every team that was playing bloody Luton!
I’d hoped we were beyond that after last season. I was wrong.

That's what happens when we overachieve.
We jumped ahead of ourselves last season.
It wasn't supposed to happen.

Wolves must be thinking they're still in this relegation battle looking at us and West Ham.
4D chess from Dyche to give Wolves the confidence to win today, get Nuno sacked and protect Derby's record. Now Fiat to finish the job on Tuesday night by unleashing our surprise new signings.

Should have been 3-0 to Wolves! Last gasp save by the keepers leg. Still 2-0.
