Can’t remember the last ball we played inside the fullback for our wingers to run onto, slow build up and recycling the ball to often. Everton’s centre half’s must have been pissing themselves, Dyche got that wrong tonight

Things aren't looking particularly promising but we can't have a 4th manager surely. At what point do we just have to accept that we don't have a good team regardless of how it looks on paper? 3 different managers and none of them have threatened to get much out of them in an attacking sense. At least dyche has the defence ok ish (although not sure.why Zinchenko was back in today).

I think that's the point wassy, everyone thinks this team should be doing better when it essentially overachieved last year playing purely counter attack. Let's not forget Everton had our number last year and low black became the way to beat us as MGW is superb on counter, abysmal in breaking anything down. 

I find the Dyche abuse laughable given he is literally the British Nuno and been hamstrung by being 3rd manager, but his players and not having a PL goalscorer. Jesus is ok but offers no goal threat because he doesn't have experience of wood

Why on earth, how on earth have we changed from a team that played with 30% possession and played lethal counter attacking football to one that has 70% possession and doesn’t seem to have a clue what to do with the ball?

Hutchinson had one in the second half but messed it up, but yes we need more like that. That is what McAtee was meant to offer, a team sat back that needs opening up with some creativity, but instead we put Luiz on, so him and Anderson are both too deep to play those little balls. I’m really flabbergasted at tonight, at the (lack of) tactics that played right into Everton’s (weakened) hands.

I think this was the perfect match to give mcatee 20 minutes but his previous sub appearances have been for all to see. Think I’d like to see 4321 to be honest with x2 10s.
Zinchenko again crap defensively- hope the rumours of garner coming to us are true - twice he has dominated in the last few weeks- oozed class and terrific engine. Also not having Ando at the minute - very poor and slowing us down in midfield with too many touches.

Dyche was a sensible and pragmatic appointment at the time and remains the best option to help us grind out survival in my opinion. He's broadly sorted out the defence and the attack was shit under the previous two managers anyway. I don't agree with some of his choices but I'm struggling to see who else we could've got?

Can we not just accept we don't actually have a very good team.

I don’t want Dyche out and I agree there are gaps in quality with what we have but its too simplistic to say we don’t have a good team.
There is clearly an issue with variations in performance level game to game. In addition we don’t sem to be able to create anything against a team that sets up to shut us out.

We have a 5’11” lone striker against two monsters in the air that Dyche himself managed. I just can’t believe it, it’s like we’re coached by a competition winner that played Championship Manager in the 90s and has been installed after waking from a 30 year coma.
