Come on mate nobody said that lets keep it real!
If I remember well there was a discussion about whether Sean was the right man to move us forward to where EM wants us to be after this season. That is a fair and open discussion.
There was no talk from anyone of wanting him gone!
I am 100% sure that every single one of us wants Sean to succeed and he is doing a cracking job up to now.
I think this is the right framing. A good result at Utrecht and great performance against Spurs recently, but poor showings vs Wolves, Everton and Fulham. The fact it was Marco Silva who nullified us so comfortably (with a weakened side) is another part of the conversation.
Does another coach get more out of this set of players (next season)? And to the January window, what should we be adding to the squad, and for what (whose) playing style?

We have too many players. Tonight was won by a silly tackle and a twat of a ref. 5/10 refs don’t give that and it was pretty inconclusive to overrule either way. They nullified us by lots of dark arts and us not finding a different way. 4231 cancelled out tonight and I thought we were so much more expansive than anything under Nuno. But we should have bought the wide players in more to create more overloads.
This was a 0-0 performance away - silly challenge by Luiz and a c**t of a ref did us. We are still in the shit and have some really tough games coming. Need wood back soon too - he score goals…

For me, we really need a set piece threat. For these games where we just get nullified, at least we'd be able to rely on the occasional free kick and corner to drag something out of these games.

The last three league away games we have been dreadful. There is a gap again from 16th upwards. This season has to be about premier league survival because it is not a given. We didn’t deserve anything from Fulham and Everton games.

Lets see what he can do with it.
He has certainly made a good start.
I’m not so sure that’s true anymore.
Too many of our players aren’t good enough, enough of the time.
Last night was an eye opener for me, not just the result but the performance.
On current levels do you think Leeds would’ve put in that performance against them last night?
How many poor away performances can we get away with?

I saw absolutely nothing last night to suggest Silva would be better. Not a great squad but well organised, you would expect that as its been more stable than ours. But our crowd would turn very quickly if we offered that little attacking intent at home.

Difficult not to be concerned by our lack of goal threat under Dyche. Even in the win vs Spurs, all three goals were unlikely, a defensive error, a cross and a long ranger. I really like Dyche and am still hopeful it'll but this is clearly a concern. Also not really fair to put that on him completely given it was an issue before he joined too.
It feels like a combination of personnel issues and tactics. Not convinced by many of our attacking players but also not overly convinced on the strategy either!

19 goals in 12 games isn’t too bad given how goal shy we were under Ange?
Would Jesus or Taiwo get more goals in a different system?

Jesus maybe, suppose thats the frustration at Kalimuendo not getting in ahead of Taiwo.

Jesus is pretty much performing, goals-wise, as he has done his whole career. His history suggests that while he might have purple patches and droughts but that he is pretty much at the level he should be.
Kalimendo is a different story entirely, his goals to games ratio last year was phenomenal but we’ve had three managers now who don’t seem to know how to use him, or Kalimendo doesn’t suit their style, that’s not just limited to Sean Dyche.
I really rate Kalimendo from what I’ve seen of him so far but would be interested to know how he got so many goals last season, did he play in a front two?
He really reminds me of Jason Defoe but Defoe was at his best alongside a big man.

Who is Jason Defoe? He sounds like he might be to Jermaine how Gary Bull was to Steve?
Anyway I have just spent more time than is healthy looking in to your question.
Ist part of24/25 Kali played as exclusively as a lone central striker in a 343, modest results but did hit a hatrick vs St Etienne that upped his stats.
They changed manager Jan 25 and in turn changed formation and didnt seem to stick with a preferred shape but did get better results. He was often paired with a partner up top in a 352 and also he appeared on the wing and as second striker, he scored a brace playing RW vs Angers.
My conclusion would be as you suspect he may be better with someone holding the ball up. I also think Jesus may be more effective if he didn’t have the sole burden of sticking the ball in the net so there you go. 4 4 fxxxin 2 as the phrase goes.
