I was impressed with Dunk and Van Hecke yesterday. McAtee put a fantastic ball in the box for Kali and without Dunk's fantastic interception it would've been 1-1.

They did a number on us really. They overloaded the wings and hit some great diagonals. After 20 minutes we actually worked it out after 18 minutes with Sangare pushing right up on their deep midfielder and Anderson providing screening for Williams with Minteh. This allowed MGW and Jesus to stop some of the outlet and us grab some control back in the game. Their fist goal had more than a hint of offside that wasn’t checked and it was very poor defensively. Ndoye had a mare first half too. Not offering any assistance for Savona and very poor attacking. I like him as a player and he had a good game last week but he seems to lack a bit of self belief and scared of losing the ball so plays so safe. I also don’t go with the Anderson praise yesterday - I think it was his poorest game for us for some time. Jesus desperately needs a goal and CHO flatters to deceive - think he is being asked to hug the touchline and this negates his strengths. Williams had his hands full all match and I’m worried he is about to break - looked knackered by the end.
Another day we grab a draw here - onto wolves which I don’t think will be as easy as everyone thinks!

Ndoye was woeful yesterday, thought the reason he was kept on the right was to help Savona defensively but he really offered nothing there either. Reckon he starts on the left vs Wolves and Omari right.

Ive not been impressed with Ndoye, he might have a couple of moments per game where he looks lively but it's mostly like playing with 10 men.
Savona not ready to be a PL regular full back either & we look weak on that side. Hopefully Aina is good to go from Jan & Hutch/Bawka can find form & fitness

Cho and HUtchinson were a massive upgrade on N'Doye Dom is playing in the wrong position but he was still pretty good. Laid a beautiful cross on a plate for MGW.
There is a player in Dan but he does seem unsure of himself and he needs Murillo and the Serbinator to rough him up in training because he is soft. I like his work rate but he is not aggressive enough. Once he gets that sorted I think he will bang. CHO played fine when he came on. Not sure what the criticism was? We were even after being battered for the first 15/20 minutes and probably the better side in the second half. Unfortunately Morato has a mental fart in him at least once a game. Surely Jair will get a fair crack soon. We shall see what the change is against Wolves. I suspect it will be a positive one. Chicago: Winging it. |
