Booked direct to Vienna from Heathrow in the end, then train to Graz, with one night in Graz.

I just found out that Graz is the birthplace of Franz Ferdinand (the archduke not the band) and home to an Arnold Schwarzenegger museum.

We are currently 17th in the league.

We need top 8 to avoid a two legged play off for the next stage.

The team currently in 8th have 6 points so it is tight.

We have dropped down to 23rd but still only 3 points off 8th.

We need a win against Malmo.

Win the 2 home games and top 24 will be secured.
10 points from last 4 needed to threaten the top 8

Real Betis (A) (8 points) - Pot 1 - Draw
Midtjylland (H) (12 points) - Pot 3 - Loss
Porto (H) (7 points) - Pot 1 - Win
Sturm Graz (A) (4 points) - Pot 3 - Draw

Remaining games:
Malmo (H) (1 point) - Pot 4
Utrecht (A) (1 point) - Pot 4
Braga (A) (9 points) - Pot 2
Ferencvaros (H) (10 points) - Pot 2

So next two games we need to win against the two worst teams we'll play then see what we can do in final 2 games. Kind of feels like we've had a tough draw getting the top pot 3 team and two very good pot 2 teams.

Interesting change of position by the Club for the Utrecht game.

The news today states “ Any supporter identified without a ticket at the ticket collection point, at Stadion Galgenwaard, or within any of the surrounding areas may be issued with a sanction. Supporters can find our Sanctions Policy here.”

This is the first time it’s said this with the European games. The previous two simply stated “Supporters without a ticket are advised not to travel to Graz.” and “Supporters without a ticket are advised not to travel to Seville.”

Probably more to do with their hooligan element rather than ours. They know we will travel in numbers for the party and it's probably for our own safety.

Amsterdam will be interesting those days.

If you are going to the Utrecht games (from what I’ve seen as I live here). Most likely not to do with a hooligan element here more what happened after Port were here.

For the Porto game :

Held at the train station when arriving from Amsterdam, not sure how they went from there to the fan park. I presume police escort.
They had to exchange a voucher for their ticket at a designated fan park and in the city centre.
From there they were taken with buses to the stadium (which they smashed up)
Fans in NL can drink on the terrace not sure if the same applies for away fans
After the match they were taken with bus back to the train station

Round the fan park are a fair few bars, round the stadium not so much. If you need recommendations let me know

I expect (unless you already know different) the pick up point for your tickets will not be the stadium due to the local mayor and police preference for secure hub locations.

Got my Utrecht ticket and booked my flights.

Excited for Thursday now, would expect a similar team to the last Europa tie although could understand if Dyche went stronger after yesterday. Should win whatever team we put out really.
