Cloughie didn’t get on with his own players.
Most didn’t like him, but would still run through brick walls for him.

This the Steve Stone who was desparate to get out of the club and showed as much when we played Newcastle?

Look at how much Moyes improved Everton last season after Dyche got sacked (same players)
Their results and performances improved massively.
Dyche is not the answer

Depends on the question.
If the question is 'How can we strengthen our defence and stop this seemingly inexorable slide into relegation danger' then I'd argue Dyche is a better answer than Ange currently is.

In the previous season, if Everton had not had two-point deductions, they would have finished near the European places

Hypothetically, would people prefer Ange or Benitez?

That’s a tough one !
Wouldn’t want Benitez TBH
Ange has had 12 training days since appointed by EM
TBH I would give him this next intl window with the remit he needs 4 points from the 2 Europa League games, and needs 6 points from Chelsea, Man Utd, Leeds home games and Bournemouth away.
Taking away Marco Silva, the options aren’t convincing IMO.
I get that there is a tipping point, but I’m not sure 4 league games is enough, especially when Arsenal and Newcastle away were 2 of them, which in reality would have prob been losses irrespective of who was in the dugout

Ange.
Purely anti Benitez as opposed to pro Ange.

Dyche is not the answer
Dyche did all the donkey work though Reds.
It was Dyche who had to deal with a 10 point deduction and all the crowd disapproval of the owners etc.
It did later get reduced to 6 points but it was a very difficult period for the club.
Moves has not had to deal with any of that.

I still think a marco Rose would be excellent. Tactically astute. Bold. Ambitious. Surely if we are considering Dyche then we are already in the fire drill area of the season. Clearly everyone talking about a new manager already means that Ange is basically a dead man walking. I haven't been impressed with him at all especially the crap Europa home game but having said that if. you are looking at progress then I would want more than Sean even if I like him. If the remit is to keep us up no matter what then the latter is the answer.
If we still have ambitions for this season (remember Glasner really struggled the start of last season), then we really need to find the mixture of the two mentioned. This is as pivotal season because we have major talents that could leave if we balls it up. if we have a manager that can improve them then we can kick on. Is klopp bored with Red Bull yet?
Chicago: Going above and beyond.
