Not Anges fault we have spent £150m on forwards that aren’t getting on the pitch. The disruption to team harmony was there for all to see.
Not a fan of Ange but think problems lie deeper.

We have spent 150m plus on players I had never heard of. They are mediocre at best and that's why no one knew who they were. MGW a shadow of what he was. Anderson didn't look interested. Did Jesus have a touch? Probably not alone in not knowing who they are. Their respective performances since coming to Forest have demonstrated they are mediocre. none of them have made any noticeable impact.. Bakwa, Ndoye, Kalimumdo have not really offered anything. Hutchinson and McAtee have had bit parts....doesnt the manager rate them? Unless you of course think they have been world beaters.

Ndoye today was actually OK - much more physical.

We don’t know because we haven’t seen them on the pitch. We were told we needed all these players for a 60 game season but all we are doing is flogging Neco, Anderson, MGW to death.
Would we have done better with a front 4 of Hutchinson, Bakwa, McAtee and Kalimuendo? My opinion no.

Let's give them a chance then. Play them from the start. let them work at developing football relationships with their peers in a competitive match and not on the training ground. We can't do worse than what we are doing now. I want Ange and this team to succeed. I don't enjoy listening to the crowd chant " sacked in the morning" I don't want Ange to be a target for all those " I told you so's" I don't want him to go but EM is ruthless.

Suppose the problem is those deeper issues can't be resolved right now whereas Ange can be. Although as I said already, no idea who we'd realistically get and if they would really be an improvement or just make us look even worse. Its been disappointing that we've not really created much under Ange aside from a few small spells.

IF a change is to happen (& for me it is a big IF) then it should be ASAP and a new coach should have been lined up to have 2 weeks working with the players not going away on international duty.

Seems like we were more risk averse today, though felt it was a matter of time for them to score while we didn’t threaten their goal.
Shots 18 v 9 On target 9 v 4 Big chances 6 v 0 Corners 8 v 1 xG 3.28 vs 0.30 I didn’t see any signs of progress tbh. The scoreline should have been worse if not for Sels. And let’s not forget Newcastle were close to us in the table with only 4 league goals. I think it’s a matter of finding the new guy.

The two Newcastle goals though were huge slices of luck from ref decisions- 9/10 refs blow for a foul there - got his toe to the ball then went through the back of him. The pen - exactly the same - got his toe to the ball and went through the back of him. But yeah Newcastle would have scored somehow anyway and we were toothless - I just don’t know why he hasn’t played the same shoe a first half v betis- o now personnel would be different but we actually looked decent with a plan!
