But that is the problem is it not. The fans were sceptical about the appointment and based on the fact he was replacing our most successful manager in a generation, he would never be afforded much time. Add to this his first 6 games (with the exception of arsenal away) were not that difficult (on paper) and yet he's failed to win one of them would always ensure things would go south and quickly.
Yes... If he manages a shock win against Newcastle that would alleviate some of the pressure but he's got to do a lot to turn this around. Ultimately the only currency he can really operate in is winning football matches right now - if he can't do that then he has to go.
This club cannot afford relegation - it would undo all the work done by Marinakis, Cooper and Nuno.
It'd be worse than that. We'd be doing a Leicester. We'd be bang in the S**t if we got relegated with the squad we've got.
Yep deep mess which is why a certain ginger haired blunt speaking manager who happens to be out of work and lives locally is my choice. Actually think he would work well he has never had a team that has been backed financially.
I don't want to think about it. And I'm sure Marinakis' is aware... He won't want his investment to be spanked away on the back of a Aussie greek gamble. I'm not adverse to dyche but it would definitely feel a step down from Nuno.
Would much prefer Marco Silva - he would be a shrewd appointment and we still surely have an appeal to a coach like that.

I'm in with that, but in a year where 2 managers will have been paid off, I doubt there's the psr allowance available to pay compo out to another club for a manager. Fulham are going to want, what, £10m?

Silva would be great however I doubt he'd be up for the move. He may not have been happy with their transfer window but they're a more stable proposition than us at the moment.
If we do pull the trigger on Ange I'll be very surprised if whoever we recruit isn't someone else currently out of work.

Silva is the kind of guy you can get in the summer, not the kind of guy that is likely to be available mid season unless it was a going to a much bigger team.
Poch was linked before, not sure whether he could combine managing US and a club for a season.
He's an ex Spurs manager so does fit the bill...

From reading comments from other fans Ange is a bit of a one man band and his back room and coaching staff aren’t up to much. Think Cooper suffered from this too but Nuno seemed to bounce off his support so much. Makes a difference at this level.

Really, I have read two articles this morning saying his position will be under threat if we lose on Sunday.

Charlotte Duncker said no immediate threat, she’s normally correct. Think things are unsustainable for long though.

That's today. Another poor performance on Sunday and that could change.
