Everybody says we had a 10/10 transfer window. I kept my mouth shut.
Before you shout at me Im very very appreciative of the investment from EM and I can’t fault what we’ve tried to do in forward positions.
However I never thought we strengthened defence enough. The only one I was pleased with was Zinchencko who seems to have been a last minute decision. Savona may be promising but Im pretty sure the lad is a CB not a right back. Jair seems to have vanished, not even on the bench.
Now we have 2 of our first choice back 4 injured in a week and the back ups which didn’t look good enough last season really still dont look good enough.

We have a very imbalanced squad. People are charmed by volume and attackers.

Tbf fair few of us were deeply concerned at not putting any money into defence.

Forward players 6 - spend £170 million
Defensiver players/ goalkeepers 6 - spend £34 million, including 1 loan and 1 loan out.
Midfielders 1 loan
Its not unbalanced numerically but the spend and therefore you would assume the quality is.

We had just 3 viable forward players, Wood, CHO and Elanga. We sold Elanga. Obviously we needed more offensive than defensive players.

We did. But after all the signings we are unbalanced.
We signed two back up keepers and some players from our money laundering partners who may never play for forest. Defence and GK that is.
Nuno was an absolute birk for doing what he did but I completely agree with what he was saying. He just shouldn't have said it or walked early doors.

Agree there no point in wasting an appearance at 88 minutes, need to find out whether he wants it here or not, the way to find out is by starting him. Sure Ange will make up his mind very quickly.
Internet says, citing Gazzetto dello Sport, at least 45mins in 15 Premier league matches to trigger the clause.

Surely we made a lot of defensive additions last season and the few attacking players we signed weren’t up to snuff so we upgraded the attack players this season and unfortunately have had injuries. Did anyone say we needed to get more centre halves in when we beat Brentford. Remember zinchenko can play against Burnley.
Had the game been anyone but Arsenal today people would be talking differently

I think you a largely correct and I'll back pedal a bit but my gripe has been signing too many players and players who disappear on loan and never play for us.

The signing of Savona is a really odd one really. In fact both full backs are not traditional full backs who would challenge Neco and Aina

Savona looked alright aside from one horrific mistake for the goal I thought. Could be useful cover at CB too based on what we saw from Morato.
We signed a backup right back and left back and a young CB in this window, not sure it was that bad.
I think maybe its worth considering that it was pretty unlucky for Aina to get injured a week after the window closes on international duty and ruled out till the next window, you can't really plan for that kind of bad luck.
Hopefully Zinchenko comes in and looks solid next weekend and Savona starts to look solid as he settles in. Maybe get Cunha involved again if possible too.
