Hopefully nothing bad with Neco.
He has just posted about time to rest and recover ready for pre season

Percy saying Ola Aina out for at least three months with a hamstring injury.

So he'll just get back to full fitness then go off to AFCON. Great.

Huge blow. Although I don’t think he’s looked right at all this season - there were some moments when he was barely moving against West Ham.

Zinchenko and Williams after tomorrow then. Just have to pray nothing happens to them.

(Should have put Zinchenko in the Europe squad…)

If we're allowed to (I'm not sure about this rule around him having a medical or whatever) then we can now - UEFA are allowing a replacement for injured players up to game week six.

"UEFA said in a statement on Thursday: "The Executive Committee approved an amendment to the 2025/26 UEFA men’s club competitions’ regulations to admit the temporary replacement of a maximum of one outfield player with long-term injury or illness during the league phase until matchday 6 included."

Says Aina to be taken out of PL squad, thats really bad.

Yes should be able to substitute Zinc into Europa squad

It's understandable, if out three months he's out until mid December and if he gets fit then he goes to AFCON. I suspect he probably won't be match fit in time for that.

Recall Cuiabano?

That's a relief of sorts, lucky we got him in, in time. Need to recall Cuiabano really too.

Also, fuckkkkkkkk. One hamstring injury already and we haven't even played a game yet.

Do we get compensation from the Nigerian FA? This is ridiculous.

I googled it. For injury greater than 28days the club gets compensation; no compensation for the first 28 days, then salary covered for days affected after that. Money comes from a FIFA pot, and it’s capped per year. That pot will need topping up with their ridiculous calendar.

Sorry if this offends, but avoid signing African players if possible. The timing and frequency of that tournament and the inability of their associations to provide top level of player care is a liability.

We've not had much luck with injuries to African players since promotion. I'm sure that's not Aina's first after international duty. And of course Sangare's malaria!

It's tough that its in by far our weakest position depth wise too. Plus the position that Ange seems to put most strain on in his tactics hence the history of hamstring injuries to his defenders. Surely we have to be looking at going back into the market in January at full back now (unless Cuiabano is considered good enough to be involved). Probably another CB too that can cover at full back.
