Im not defending the idiot conspiracy theorists Pap, I find them as hilarious as you do. Just saying there is genuine sympathy for Palace’s position out there however some of that sympathy is now waning with their refusal to look in the mirror. Also saying that is an accusation that many neutrals have rightly thrown at Forest in recent times.

Not trying to stir anything. Came across a document whilst arguing with one of the aforementioned Palace fans and thought it interesting. Hadn’t really clocked the bit about trusts being a temporary thing until someone else brought it up earlier. Maybe I’m just trying to make myself feel better about blowing it at the end of the season :-)

On a serious note, I do think it’s something that we (well, Mr M) need to get to grips with *properly* if we’re lucky enough to get back into Europe in future.

One question that came out of the ruling for this season, Cas said blind trusts are only temporary for last season. So, this year, if hypothetically we were to qualify for the same competition as Oly, we'd be demoted? I wonder if there is a plan for this?

Whilst the likes of Sky and co keep lapping up and reporting every morsel of S**t that spews out of Parrish's mouth, then we are gonna be in the sights of any thick headed, rose tinted, knuckle dragging, gormless t**t going. Parrish (spit!) is churning out more and more bollocks every time he opens his mouth and the afore mentioned thick headed, rose tinted, knuckle dragging gormless twats are still sucking it all in. There are few Palace fans I have seen comment in the Athletic that have said their club f****d up, but the vast majority are still in denial about Palace being a part of an MCO and this is all down to EM and Forest? How the f**k they come to that conclusion, apart from listening to their sly, spineless, highly incompetent owner of course.

For me, I dont give a f**k about what Palace fans say TBH. If they are so stupid not to realise their own owner has royally f****d up big time and is looking to swerve the blame away from him, then that is on them.

What I do give a f**k about though is the potential for there to be violence at Selhurst Park in a couple of weeks time, when our travelling Red Army arrives there and our fans getting attacked. Parrish and his tub thumping, anti everything Nottingham Forest vitriol is whipping his fans up into a frenzy and that can only lead to one thing. If this does happen, then I hope that the authorities have the guts to arrest Parrish for inciting riots, using words and behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace etc. God forbid anything does happen, but if any of our fans do get hurt at Selhurst Park, I hope they take Parrish to court and sue the b*****d!  :Anger:

It is quite bizarre how some of their fans still think this is none of Parish’s or Palace’s fault. Admittedly many are now gunning for Textor but of course his and Marinakis’s friendship appears to continue to fan the flames and keep up their imagination that this is Forest’s fault.

Anyway, what is refreshing as you say is that some fans are now looking inwards but also, the changing views of some of the media. Yes, good ol Sky’s chief correspondent/Palace fan is still spinning the sob story but likes of Simon Jordan, Jim White and others are telling it as it is. As days go by I’m sure more will follow and as we move into the season and Chelsea, Liverpool, Utd etc kick-off their new season Sky and the rest will forget all about little ol Palace.

I have been following this thread for a while! Ignoring all the vitriol I am intrigued to know why folk think that what has happened, to Forest’s benefit and Palace’s loss, is the responsibility of Parish. He, or his club, have no control over shares owned by another shareholder. The most that could have been done was identify an issue, point it out and request that steps were taken. They could not take those steps themselves. Only the shareholder could and when the relationship had broken down, primarily because they wanted to make the club a MCO and Parish refused, that wasn’t going to happen. 

The responsibility lies entirely with Textor and if, as has been reported, further legal action is being contemplated it would appear most likely to be directed at him on the basis that Directors should always act in the best interests of the organisation. 

Attacks on Parish and Palace seem, in my opinion, to be misguided.
