Why? They've named us in their case - of course we'll send legal representation.

Like their chairman it would appear Palace fans don’t do reading very well.
“Nottingham Forest has been formally named as a respondent in Crystal Palace’s appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) concerning a UEFA decision,’ a Forest spokesperson said. ‘As such, the club is required to participate in the proceedings and has instructed legal counsel accordingly.” We are required to participate. That doesn’t mean sending Frank Clark to hand out some badges.

I think Frank should go there with his guitar and sing a version of Cry Baby Cry.

CAS Hearing - Crystal Palace v. UEFA, Nottingham Forest Football Club & Olympique Lyonnais
30.07.2025 17:00 The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) confirms that an in-person hearing for the case Crystal Palace v. UEFA, Nottingham Forest Football Club & Olympique Lyonnais is scheduled for 8 August 2025. The hearing will be held behind closed doors at CAS headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. No decision will be issued on 8 August. It is expected that an operative decision (without grounds) will be rendered on 11 August 2025. ---------------------- So that's AFTER the Conference League qualifying round draw. Ridiculous.

Assume as it stands Palace are in that draw?
Surely they can’t turn round after the event and put us in there? Unless the draw says Palace or Forest which would technically be incorrect.

What a state the game is in when a first time European Qualifying team and a team that hasn't qualified in 30 years have to go to court to find out what's happening.
Some people might like the drama but this is terrible for the game.

Rangers 3-1 up (on aggregate) v Pana after 92 mins of 2nd leg in ECL qualifier. If things work out, we could be in the same group as them - reckon EM would like that :)

The only way Lyon can be ousted is if Palace can get CAS to agree that winning the FA cup is superior to finishing 6th (or whatever it was) in the french league. The UEFA rules state the higher league finish will take precedence but doesn't mention the winning of a cup competition. I cant see Lyon getting hooked in favour of Palace.

We would not get Lyon's place if they get booted, that would go to Strasbourg.
