Whether that is current de Bruyne who's on the bench a fair bit, or the earlier one, that's another question.
Weren't we supposed to be looking to get a discussion on a new contract going?

i don't want him to go but we know that one day with MGW and maybe this summer with another high value player it's where we are and almost inevitable.
Brighton, Southampton and Wolves in recent years have all gave in to the big hitters for business reasons. MGW needs to look at Grealish and decide if he wants to win what he has won by sacrificing the freedom he plays with. Because Pep will micro manage him on the pitch. Conclusion I hope we keep him but if he were to go there's better options for him.

I'm not sure his style of play suits them either. To me he always seems at his best picking the ball up on the half turn and either running with it or playing quick forward passes. They don't really play like that.

Convenient story just before we play them in a big game...

So with MGW signed up can everyone just chill the f**k out now and let EM and the recruitment team do their jobs.
Have some faith and have some patience.

This is a massive signing and statement to the Sky 6. Obviously I wanted MGW to stay, but it felt like this summer the sky 6 were hoovering up all the top talent, particularly with the Isaac to Liverpool story.
But the big boss has worked his magic. MGW is pivotal to our attack and now we can look forward with optimism. That side that started 2nd half yesterday is a good side. Bench options are solid defensively plus Taiwo is looking very sharp, we just now need a winger or two plus similar luck as last season with injuries.

Great news. We don't have to rebuild our entire creative outlet and we can use our budget elsewhere.
The stability might also help attract some players in that difficult pond we are fishing in. Don't think loads of players don't want moves and speak about other clubs with their players and agents all the time. It's no big deal. Some of the things people were saying about MGW was ridiculous.

Think there are still a few unknowns as to what happened and there is probably some blame either with the player or more likely his agent. But I don’t blame Morgan for looking elsewhere particularly after that idiot Tuchel’s unnecessary comments.
What Tottenham fans don’t get is that Morgan is a heart on his sleeve player. Even if deep down he did want away there is no chance he would let it affect his performance, he just isn’t wired that way. Definitely time to get behind him. |
