I was surprised the amount of people (and maybe it was mainly Spurs fans) saying it was ridiculous that we were kicking off about MGW getting tapped up. Seems like there was a lot of misunderstanding of how these clauses work which is fair to a point. However, was surprised how much hate we were receiving in that instance.
Just shows how unpopular we are at the moment. Ironically given this happened to Palace with Olise there'd be some sympathy but maybe they don't have that to spare right now. Hopefully its just a July thing and it calms down during the season.
I'd love to know what other clubs would do in our position - e.g. if they thought they had a case re an illegal approach to one of their players. Would their fans just be happy for them to roll over?

From the Guardian:
‘Textor has spent around £180m on Palace since buying an initial 40% stake for £87m four years ago…”
(His holding went up to 44.9%)
I don’t think the ‘no significant influence’ argument holds any water.

I know thats why I found it so surprising. Feels like we're clearly in the right on MGW and by the sounds of it, his agent may well have invalidated that release clause by telling Spurs so that seems like a pretty good reason defend our position. Plus it literally happened with Olise, confusing really.

Seeing lots of Everton fans calling Forest this and that because poor Palace got demoted. Palace fans colluding with Everton to say we are embarrassing and going on about how we’ve bought players from Lyon to help clear their debts. It’s actually been more the other way around as we know. But them I remembered Textor trying to buy Everton and at the time of him doing so, Mangala (and possibly others) suddenly arriving at a struggling Everton. Nothing to see there though hey?

Ah balls to all of them. Like I said - what would they want their clubs to do in our place?

Also, just been reminded that Palace won that final after probably the worst decision in a final I can remember.
If you were a City fan, you might be inclined to think that was a bigger injustice...

From a Daily Mirror reporter:
'Steve Parish said #CPFC missed several emails from UEFA about rule change in January because it was sent to a generic address
Except that address is also the only one listed in the PL handbook supplied to stakeholders every season.'

It’s kind of funny and pathetic at the same time listening to Parish. They keep telling us he runs the club, well he’s f@&ked up big time. No wonder he’s trying to argue against the ruling in public, because if it was my organisation he’d be fired, absolutely no question about it. Massive, preventable fk up and it’s his responsibility.

I can’t take a 60 year old man with a tin tin quiff seriously. Hopefully the arbitration court will take the same view.

I think the best one is that they are saying we should refuse to play in the Europa cup as a protest in support of them.

Sounds fair. In exchange for Eze, Wharton and Guehi on free transfers.

This is a great one, its actually not far off “the dog ate my homework”
As with dealing with any organisation it is your responsibility to ensure your contact details are correct. Try telling HMRC that you didn’t see their tax bill because you supplied the wrong info and see how sympathetic they are.
