Are the Botafogo deals all sorted yet?

Igor Jesus signed his contract already. Not sure on the other two.

The article also says that Lyon had previously been banned from European competition but then reinstated, so that further complicates things.

Kicking out Lyon would resolve some problems. Particularly if Textor just 'let' it happen to help Palace. That could be the likeliest outcome now.

Im sorry this is disgraceful scummy behaviour from Forest. No better than a school swot snitching on you for not doing your homework, worse actually, far more at stake. Lets not pretend we behave angelically on other matters too.
We should stay well out of it, mind our own business and let them come to a decision. If Palace are banned without our input so be it we will take the place. If not we get the ECL we earned.
Really really disappointed and have lost some respect for EM if this is the case.

Have you read the article? Forest have enquired about the situation. We didn't do it publicly, someone has obviously leaked that information. Then it's things like Forest "could" take the matter CAS.
Seems that the headlines have done their job, getting people riled up, talking about it and getting their clicks.

Ok fair enough I haven’t read it can’t get past the paywall, you are correct I am riled by the headline. If as you say I retract it and am happy to delete the above post. My sentiment that the situation is nothing to do with us remains.

Sky Sports picked up on this now. Am sure Gary Neville will be delighted.

Gary does like the rules to be enforced so I'd fully expect him to come out and support us...... Oh but I'm sure the shoe doesn't fit this time.

So if they know that we’ve sent the letter then what does it say?

Indeed. Just watched the video on it on Sky - no new news.

Sky don't know. They're just reporting on the Times article really.

Anyone know why there is this arbitrary deadline to put your shares into a blind trust? Seems a bit confusing why the deadline wouldn't be end of season? I'd be interested to know what Palace have gained from having the extra time without it in place.

It does seem a shame for it to be decided by a technicality as opposed to on the pitch. That said of course I will take it and I'm glad we're getting the trust cheating Palace out of Europe.

No idea and it does seem odd that it's so early at March 1st.
