No pre season isn’t ruined. We just have to play in a two legged play off on 21st/28th August. Draw for that is on the 4th August

Just looking which other teams are definitely in the same playoff round as us - though I imagine the seedings would keep us apart. So far there's:

Rayo Vallecano
Mainz
Strasbourg
And there'll be one of either Roma, Lazio or Juventus.

Oh there'll be some decent ties if we do make it through to the league stage for sure. Though there'll be some odd ones too!

For context, Chelsea played Servette of Switzerland in the playoffs (which they only won 3-2) and in the League stages they played:

Gent (H)
Panathanaikos (A)
Noah (H) - I have no idea where they're from but Chelsea won 8-0
FC Heidenheim (A)
Astana (A)
Shamrock Rovers (H)

If next season is the same as this there are only six rather than eight group stage matches.
