There are 18 games left.
75 points is average for top 6 finish so we are 36 away. That is a minimum 10 wins and a few draws. Realistically one of those 10+wins has to be today.

Outside shot at best.
But a better chance than we've had since early Dec

Yes, we can still do it.
We need a couple of quality signings over the line though in the next 48 hours.

Top 6 would be amazing, I am going with Salvatore's calculations .. 75 points .. would be a fine achievement regardless of whatever doors it opens … Wembley … PL who knows, but 75 points even if it was 7th I would be totally content with Very difficult to visualise 75 points not being top 6, possibly wouldn't need that many hence Salvatore calculatoing '10 wins and a few draws', though 6th place last season was .. 75 points Prior to Wigan, it was exactly 12 wins, 36 points required to get us to 75 points 1 win achieved, 11 wins needed out of 17 games … mmmm looks difficult but Next 3, Birmingham away, Brentford at home and West Brom away … I think we need 2 or 3 signings in the next 25 hours

So do you feel promotion is back on with those signings
Everyone is entitled to my opinion - COYR :)

Er No - but I’ve been resigned to another season in the EFL since the Reading defeat.

No I don't. I personally feel the signing are done to stop us falling below halfway. But they are not signings of team wanting to push for top 6. All loans so they know they are not going to be here next season anyways.
Was a nice dream while it lasted and here is hoping for a better next season.

The pele fella may be good - bonatini is decent. The centre half has been cover and was at Leicester: could it be that he knows Benalouane already so can slot in quickly? Then the Swedish chap who comes highly regarded and O’Neill has on trial at Celtic.
Not bad - but I am an eternal optimist.

Then the Swedish chap who comes highly regarded and O’Neill has on trial at Celtic. Yeah. But that's just the sexy thing, isn't it which 'wow' and big money and a 'big name' and all that. Villa have Ming. But they paid and will pay for it. Forest have done a lot of business today in all the areas they really needed it. Cleared a lot out this window. Forest got Car' for £13 million. Very sexy...except over the Christmas period he didn't set the world alight. That's football. Benu we got for 'no fee' and he's performed well ok at CH. Same with the other signings, CHs, CM and a striker. I'd suggest we've traded up or plugged areas our squad just doesn't have or hasn't got depth. And it's the tune MoN can get out of them. Can't discount that. Forest have huffed and puffed all season long. Let's see what's next with added steel and feistiness. All along the spine of the side, note..! SA. |
