We did hit the woodwork three times despite having an academy player at RB and Elanga on bench.

Wish we could've put our best team out.

Indeed, even arsenal's surrender of the title race so tamely has meant Chelsea played liverpool when they had nothing to play for. It's been an unbelievable 6 weeks - I blame new Caledonia or whoever wood was injured playing against.

Seems we burnt through all our luck in that first 3/4 of the season - all those off the line clearances come back to bite you on the arsenal when it mattered most.

Still... its berna great season. I just don't think, as a club, we will really benefit from the conference league in terms of player recruitment and taking us to the next level as the europa league might or definitely the champions league.

As much as it's been a season to celebrate you can't help but think that it was a missed opportunity.

We can’t take one point from three home games in the run in and point to other results.

We can quite easily. The odds of all the results including ours going this way from the point of us beating Man City were so unlikely as a combination.

If course it matters what other teams do, it's a hard league.

Fair play to palace.. fought, and turned up when it mattered, all you can ask from your team, play to win, not stick a cdm on the wing, getting a better tournament place as well,

Can't get over how much we have 1 point from the likes of everton and so on

After how well we were doing it's all a bit deflating now . Anyone that says otherwise is kidding themselves.

Too many on here can't, or won't, see what's right in front of them. Weve run out of form, and luck.

I think the latter in particular. We did have a lot go our way in the first half of the year.

Statistically we've gone from one of the best defences to bottom 5 in chances conceded. Personally I think it's a combination of key injuries and teams have just worked out how to play us.

It’s irrelevant what others do if we don’t get points ourselves.
