West Ham - Nottingham Forest

I am happy to be away from home and perhaps it will also suit us more that we are now playing catch up.

We shouldn't have the same pressure that we have had in our recent home games.

I am quietly confident of winning this one.

Yep agree.
West Ham have nothing at all to play for.
Some said the same about Leicester, but they were hell bent on putting a spanner in the works.
West Ham will be different IMO

With the cup final being Sunday, we might be in the Europa league by then. If that's the case then maybe being an outside chance for top 5, might take pressure.
Even then though we need to win both and United or Spurs to do us favour against Villa.

Hope Callum’s back for this. Any word?

When we beat them 3-1 at home in Nov we had our 4-2-3-1 and I think we’ve struggled without it.

This was the starting team for earlier this season:

Sels
Aina Murillo Milenkovic Moreno
Yates Dominguez
Elanga MGW CHO
Wood

Swap Williams for Moreno and Anderson for Yates, and I’d be happy.

I’d imagine apart from Murillo (if fit) for Morato, we’ll be unchanged from last weekend.

Agreed, I'm not entirely sure why we went away from it. MGW is much more impactful in this formation rather than out wide too.

Sangare and anderson has to start. Best pairing so far. They control our midfield

I really don't get the Sangare love, he just seems like a liability to me. Not like it's been having positive results or performances either.

You can't blame just one player for that can you. A few of them have been a liability. Sangare needs a decent pre-season and stay fit and I personally believe he'll come good as you don't become a shite player over night.

No of course, I'm not saying that. However, this idea that he's somehow dominating midfield but the results and performances are getting worse seems confusing.

If he was dominating midfield and was an improvement on the previous occupants of the midfield I'd expect us to get better not worse.

Just not sure why everyone is so attached to this guy? He's always seemed to slow to me. Nuno knows more than me obviously so he must be seeing something else in training. Just feels like people want him to work due to the fee without any evidence that he's actually any good.

I think results and performances were getting worse a long time before his last two starts.
Think he's been pretty good in his last two games. Hoping there's still more to come from him though.

I'm not trying to dig the guy out but just wondering what have you seen that has been good?

If he was improving the team surely you'd expect an improvement in performances right? Otherwise at best he's as good as whoever he replaced.

Wassy i think you're right about the element of almost wanting him to come good and therefore seeing any positive possible. That said the few games prior to his introduction our ball retention was woeful, yes he takes the easy pass a hell of a lot but at the same time he's not trying the worldies Anderson and MGW have been guilty of which have done nothing but lose the ball.
