Regarding the Conference League.
Yes there might be some Albanian or Hungarian or Latvian opponents etc but below is a list of some of the other teams who have been in the Conference League recently.
Chelsea, Aston Villa, Olympiakos, Panathinaikos, AEK, Real Betis, Fiorentina, Brugge, Legia Warsaw, Gent, Hearts, Lens, Trabzonspor, Partizan, Krakow, Hajuk Split, Zurich, Austria Vienna, Lille, Ajax, Aberdeen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Hibs, PAOK, Dynamo Zagreb, West Ham, Anderlecht, Villarreal, Lazio, Cologne.
Some tasty games and some great away days to be had there.

But you have to get through a qualifier first. That's my worry - that we won't.

Ha - I only say it because it'd just be typical Forest.
Though as I said before - what REALLY would've been typical Forest is not even finishing 7th.

The conference league could be a more sustainable stepping stone to provide long term success. A season in the champions league would have been exciting, but I think our league form would suffer.
We could go into the conference league with the intention of winning it and then kick on into the Europa after that. Wishful thinking I know, but we’re good enough to win the Conference League based on this year’s tournament

Does anyone know when this/these qualifying game(s) may be? I seem to recall they're very early in the summer (possibly July), which means the entire pre-season is basically f****d.

It will be 21st August and 28th August. The Play off. So pre season is just normal
16th August - First Prem game
21st August - Play off 1st Leg
24th August - 2nd Prem game
28th August - Play off 2nd leg.
Then First Group Stage game is 2nd October.
Hopefully it is Europa League or above but I don't mind Conference League gives us a taster and might not affect the PL season as much.

Do we have to qualify for the Europa League if we end up in that competition do you know?

We go straight into Pot 3 or Pot 4. Straight Qualification. It is such a strange concept that you go straight into group stages for CL and EL but have to do a play off round for Conference.

Hopefully Europa League if not Champions League.
Pretty sure with the investment into the team this summer, we could compete well.

Just look at West Ham when they won it, think they finished 15th or similar?
Think thats a more direct comparison than the likes of Chelsea who have a ridiculous squad.

You could also look at Villa though. They got UCL.
