Europa League is still in our hands, regardless of whether Palace or City win. Beat West Ham and Chelsea and we're guaranteed 6th.

Not sure that's much of a consolation or many people really believe we'll win the last two games.

I would be absolute peak Forest.

It's a bit of a farce really that just under half the league could qualify for a European competition. Talk about grinding money out the industry.

I'll take an away day and all that but I fear for our league position.

So we have to f**k about with our pre-season to enable us to qualify for the equivalent of the Papa Johns trophy? That's a competition that's going to actually put off any potential new signings and possibly de-rail our entire season next year?

I might be wrong but my take on it is:
- 5 champions league places (top 5)
- 1 extra champions league place for winning Europa League (Man U or Spuds) - does this affect us?
- 6th is Europa League
- 7th is Conference

League Cup winners get a Conference place. As Newcastle will make ECL this place will go to 7th.

FA Cup winners - If City win then this is a Europa League up for grabs and so will go to highest placed team in league NOT in a higher ranked competition. Isn't that us?

Absolutely brilliant to be back competing in Europe against next season.

It's an amazing achievement.

I for one have not been spoilt recently or forgotten where we have come from.
