Until we address the elephant in the room being that we seem incapable of getting back into a game when we fall behind with only FOUR points gained all season when in that position, until this starts to change we shall never move forward. CL dreams are just that dreams, unfortunately the players and manager have reached their peak and are unable to recover, I noted Nuno's press conference before the match when he sounded flat which was not a good omen going into the game. Where are our BIG players, stand up and be countered or miss the boat this opportunity may not come around very often again for most of our squad  or the manager, regroup and for f**k sake get on the front foot from the start in the remaining games, stop being passive, Nuno change the tactics and stop bring on a defensive midfielder at HT to replace a injured forward. Finally like most I suspect, not going into the market in January to bolster the squad has come back to hurt us, I said this on the forum at the time, Nuno wanted a small squad to work with but now look knackered, rant over!!!!!

Those stats are very misleading.

The games where we conceded first were Fulham (x2), Away to Arsenal, Man City, Bournemouth, Villa plus the two recent home games.

It's only 9 games out of 34, we scored first in 24 out of 34 games, pretty incredible really. (There is a 0-0 in there too vs Arsenal)

You're going to struggle to get tons of points from conceding first when you score first every game. 

The games we did concede first aside from the two recent games were away against teams in the top 8 or so. Basically another stupid Sky Sports stat which completely ignores context.

The stats where we concede first compared to the some of the PL

Forest conceded first -9 out of 34 won 1 drawn 0 lost 8
Southampton lost  22 out of 34 drawn 2 lost 20 after conceding first
Ipswich lost 18 out of 34. drawn 2 lost 16
West Ham 19 out of 34 drawn 5 lost 14
Both Palace and Everton have only won once after conceding first

Make of that what you will.  I think Arsenal have only won 3 times after conceding first also.

Any European football would be a massive achievement! I don't think even the most positive Forest fan would have thought it possible last summer.

If i can be picky, i would prefer the Europa League to the Conference but appreciate it would be the more difficult competition. 

Increase the quantity and quality of the squad and bring back the halcyon nights Trent side.

I’ve been looking at some accumulator bets and the odds of our wise case senario of AV and Chelsea getting optimum results and our worst case is very high odds - made me feel better about our chances anyway!

I’d agree with that. Europa still has some of the bigger teams in it and offers an alternative route into Champions League for the season after. If spurs/United can get to the final then there’s no reason we couldn’t

Europa league is a big drop off in revenue although we’d still be getting more then we were expecting start of the season it would probably temper our transfer dealings but European football at the city ground again? Yes please and twice on Sundays

Again i agree. We would be playing against sides who would still be a real challenge and some big name players.

Our squad has not had the strength to sustain a position at the top of the EPL but has done incredibly well to be on the verge of qualifying for Europe (maybe even in the next 72 hours).

Europe should allow us to attract some quality players who improve our league position again in 25/26 with the aim being ECL.

As things stand if Newcastle beat Brighton tomorrow I think that would guarantee European football for us next season before we even play Palace?
