The interview he gave a few years ago only made it worse for me. Absolute cnt that ignored the rules of the game because he was friendly with the player and didn’t want to make headlines for a sending off in the cup final. Said he would do the same again the arrogant piece of sh*t. That, Anderlecht, last season. There needs to be proper oversight of refereeing, they can determine matches and tournaments. There is clearly a culture problem in PGMOL when you hear them or ex-referees speak, the problem hasn’t gone away and VaR has highlighted it.

And Michael Oliver was given a lovely payday in the Middle East by Man City’s owners and has subsequently given them ridiculous decisions including refusing to give a stonewall penalty against them in none other than the semi final of the FA Cup.
And he’s the ref for tomorrow.

Nice to see the usual cliches about us being parroted at the Man City end. We only play low block, wait for one chance, lowest possession, exceeding xG, false position and recent wobble will fall out of top 5.
Good stuff, hope Pep believes that too.

Much rather this than Forest are unbeatable etc.
