No, only if they finished 6th. That scenario is more plausible if Villa somehow won the CL.

I'm guessing 6th. So if they won the Champions League the qualifying place in the Premier League *wouldn't* go down a position like it does for the Europa League if, say, the FA Cup winners finish in the top four (well, five now).

I'm guessing 6th. So if they won the Champions League the qualifying place in the Premier League *wouldn't* go down a position like it does for the Europa League if, say, the FA Cup winners finish in the top four (well, five now).

Correct. The league can provide a team up to 5th place but if the winner of the CL (or EL) finishes outside that we'd just have extra spots. It's not inconceivable that we could have 7 teams in the CL.

If Villa finished 6th and won CL the Europa/conference league spots would go down one still.

6th is Europa/ As long as Villa beat Palace in FA Cup Semi Final - 7th will also be Europa
8th Conference - As long as Newcastle finish Top 7.

One game at a time and we are in a fantastic position. Other teams are worried about Forest, not the other way around.

Wouldn't change anything, as long as Newcastle finished in the top 5. Basically in that scenario Chelsea are legit in the EL via the league. If Palace don't win the FA Cup then it likely means there's two league spots for EL too. If Chelsea finished 7th there would be an extra EL spot I think in that scenario and no conference league team. If 8th, then there would be an extra EL team but it doesn't push it down the league spots.

One fact that is unlikely but not impossible, if Villa finished 5th and won the CL, they would qualify and then the extra CL spot would go to 6th.

Apparently, that is applied after everything.

Most like scenario is:

1-5 CL (plus one of Utd or Spurs perhaps)
6-7 EL
8 Conference League
