Hope his confidence hasn’t taken too much of a knock. Might put Real Madrid off making an offer in the summer too.

Looking at the reports and feedback most blame the manager, Brazil don’t seem to have a tight formula as to how they set up out of possession which we do have at Forest. Murillo struggled here last year too when we just weren’t as prepared as a team.
Difficult to have a debut away at Argentina, you do think they have missed a few opportunities to give him some minutes off the bench before last night.

Maybe he's just not as good as we think?

Having watched that interview with him he doesn't appear to lack confidence. I think he's more likely to use this to spur him on to be even better. Hopefully anyway.

A big hug from Nuno and a little word in his ear and normal service will be resumed.

Yeah, right.

I was being serious and playing devil's advocate. We know he's been excellent for us and we love him, but maybe he's just not that top international class defender we have him down to be. He has obvious talent but maybe we look at him with rose coloured specs?

It's a fair observation. We've only seen him in the context of the Premier League where so far he's looked excellent. It'll be interesting to see how - if we do qualify for the CL and he's still here - he does against top-class club competition. And the same for all our players of course.

I think that's probably fair, although worth remembering he's only 22. Plenty more improvements to come from him and hopefully experience to be developed playing in big games for us.

It wasn't just down to Muriilo that Brazil got mullered.

They are nowhere near as good as they used to be.

Murillo has already proved himself in the best league in the world.

The lad is immense.

I missed the first two goals but the third you wonder if a top keeper would rush out for that ball (bento plays for al nassr) Mac allister has got behind Murillo but you never know if the keeper had stayed close to his line what might have happened.

Not long after the second half began Leo Ortiz who had come on for Murillo nearly made a mistake that led to a goal and then I think the left back played a ball across the middle for the midfielder that was either with too much power or the midfielder wasn’t awake to it but that nearly made them lose possession.

The starting line up was made up of 1 player from the Saudi pro league, 2 from the Brazilian Serie A 1 from ligue 1, 3 from La liga and 4 from the prem.

After the break it was still 4 from the prem but 3 of those were from wolves, I think a lot of casual fans feel the aura that Brazilian sides had has fallen off and that Cus you don’t have these individuals that were world wide stars apart from vini jr and raphinha they’re just not that good. The manager took the 90m valued Madrid winger rodrygo off and replaced him with his 18 yo (still high valued) club team mate endrick and stuck him up top.

The managers only been in his position a year and it’s his 3rd loss in 16 games so who knows, would Gabriel have had a better game. Would a midfield 2 from Newcastle have been stronger? Would Alisson have behaved differently in goal. All what ifs but Murillo was second youngest out of all 22 players that started that match, maybe after the first goal Marquinhos the captain should have been more vocal unless it can’t be put down to individual error

I reckon half the teams in the Premier League think they have a centre half that is good enough to play for Madrid.
