As a matter of interest who did win player of the season in the 2 years that Collymore was with us?

That is an incredible fact thinking about it.
Our greatest ever Striker never won player of the season.

I’ve seen all the great strikers from Joe Baker , Frank Wignall even Peter Withe but non compare to Stan Collymore. He was the most complete forward Forest ever had.

Interesting that you mention Peter Withe because we were comparing him to keinan Davis the other day.

My recollection Sniffer of Withe was of a big bustling centre forward who was not too shabby on the floor. Also a great foil with Tony Woodcock . A typical big man little man forward line of the time

Yes that is exactly how I remember them they were a fantastic duo Withe and Woodcock.

Sheringham was ultimately the superior player. But if you are looking at what thay did for Forest, Teddy cleared off back to London the second he had a chance leaving us up the creak without a CF. Wood has made far more of an impact already.
