Just seen a report in the Nottingham Post who have copied and pasted an article from The Sun that Newcastle are sniffing after MGW.
Whilst it is a concern, the fact that the report has come from that lying rag does make things slightly better.
That paper is so bad for false reports, I have to double check the date to make sure it is correct!!

I can't remember the last time the Nottingham Post actually broke a story about Forest themselves. All their content now seems to be aggregated from other publications or social media.

I agree 100% with you SR.
The NP is a very poor shadow of what it used to be like.

Yes it was a really proud moment yesterday. Everyone in the pub clapped when he came on.
They'll obviously be clauses for him to leave but a pay rise and extension will be good for everyone.
I just hope he starts taking on more shots when he is around the box.

Mail Sport understands star playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White has also been in contract talks and is looking for a significant rise on the five-year deal he signed two-and-a-half years ago, worth about £60,000 a week.

Nice long read in the Athletic today. He went to school in Telford, head of football there a certain Mr Des Lyttle.

Just read it, good article although Wolves fans in the comments are saying DT has omitted the actual reasons for him falling out with Wolves (something about attending some Love Island lockdown breaking parties which led to him getting shipped out apparently). Sounds like he had some resentment towards the club for the way they treated him and didn't want to sign a new deal. Ironic that Nuno sending him out on loan to Swansea led him to Cooper which led him eventually to us. Nuno playing the long game there!
Either way, a few lockdown parties is not a justified reason to suddenly hate on him, surely if he signed a new deal they'd have loved him again. Their reaction to him is poor and I'd hope we wouldn't do the same. It worked out well for them anyway as they got Cunha with the money and didn't fail FFP.
Out of interest, anyone at the Spurs game, what was the reaction to Brennan and Spence?

Brennan got some muted applause.
Spence was mostly poor all night and largely ignored until he was sent off to a big cheer. He then got a bit of sympathetic applause accompanied by a rather louder chant of “you used to play for a big club”.
Appreciate his contribution but we moved on and he chose not to be part of it, we have better anyway.

Yeah understand the response to Spence, glad Brennan's was good though. Ultimately both club legends based off that one beautiful season that got us here. Wouldn't complain if Brennan returned to fill one of our club trained spots in the CL next season...
MGW club legend now too of course (to keep it vaguely on topic), he already was for his pen in the playoff semi final anyway!

Most of our side were signing “Warnock said the Spence was shite, now he’s f*****g dynamite” when he was sent off

Interesting to see one of the instalments to pay wolves will be champions league football, which after the instalment for full English debut, is maybe right round the corner
