Leicester City - Nottingham Forest

What made me laugh was the commentators trying to big it up as a massive derby game.
Maybe for Leicester but not for me and many on here I'm aware of.
Leicester who?

I was singing "We all live in a world of Ryan Yates" along with the fans in the stadium.
Thrilled he's got that chant.

I suppose this is my point really. We have 6 midfielders (Yates, MGW, JWP, Sangare, Domingues, Anderson) who we can mix and match without really weakening - dependent on the opposition.

The same can probably be said across the squad but not always in the same depth.

I like Dominguez , not much of a winger but dont think he's ever really let anyone down when played in CM. Never stops running, always looking to pass it quickly.

Really strong performance last night, especially 2nd half. We coukd still be playing now & Sels would still not have got his gloves dirty.

Whilst staying grounded for obvious reasons this lifts the standards around the club. We have players that want to keep that shirt and players coming back that want it. I expect a huge lift in training as completion for places increases.

So the stats in the end were that we had less then our average possession at 36% and they had 64% they turned that possession into 1 shot on target which they scored. They had 1 less corner than us and nearly double the number of fouls.

So maybe bounanotte should have just hoofed it like a team not trying to play the ball out of the back should do

The second goal came from them losing possession in the final third

The third was just plain bad defending!

I’ll admit I’m waiting for opposition fans to call us flukey this season, the 1-0 wins probably won’t help that but to show we can kill of a game again (last time we scored 3 was versus the blades, before that was the demolition of Fulham) we’ve also not had any contentious decisions go in our favour, though I was worried about the vardy penno shout for a min

Anyone else think if that was a Liverpool shirt Vardy was wearing the pen would have been given?

Possibly our most accomplished away performance since returning to the Premier League? No exaggeration to say we could've had six or seven goals with the Yates miss, CHO hitting the post, Dominguez chance and half-chances for Jota and Awoniyi too. A bit too open in the first half though still hardly under siege and the half-time tweak nipped that in the bud straight away.

Leicester look like they have enough to stay up, particularly given some of the other teams, so to brush them aside so easily in the end was impressive. As is the fact that we've already got more away points in five games than we did in our entire first season back. More of this please!

Also took us till the Newcastle game last season to get four wins

Took us till Southampton just after new year in our first year back

Took us till Luton away in March to get 10 away points (13 points was the win at Sheff Utd in May!)

Not a lot seeing as they've stuck us on last.

How many times have we been last or penultimate this season? Is anyone keeping track? Theres stats for everything, someone must be!

A lot of exciting games today in fairness. The worst game of the weekend so far was probably City v Saints which I'm guessing had plenty of airtime.
