I think the free kick was worse, why isn't he standing further across to cover that. Surely that's the only place that can go in?

Agreed, he was having a poor game before he gave that silly free kick away.

Yeah agreed looking at the replays, he’s done poorly on the free kick. Often in these situations that’s enough justification for bringing the new keeper into the side. I just have no idea how Miguel has performed in training and how well rated he is internally. Based solely on the Newcastle match I’d probably put him in. The reach alone saves goals.

May be that he is always 2 v 1 and not defensive support from CHO. Think wingers need to be switched
