Couple of points.

West Brom are unlikely to sell a potential game winner to a promotion rival, and

They'll have too much money invested in him to let him go for nowt. So id guess hed cost at least 10mill. Is he worth that? For me, no.

makes sense.
They could loan him back. He needs game time or he'll become worthless.

I think they will be selling one of the big names to fund the acquisition of others.

There were rumours of Phillips going to Cardiff for them to sign Dack.

Disappointing to see what has become of him, scrabbling around for sub appearances at best here and there. I remember him scoring against Leeds, thinking what we potentially had on our hands in a year or two, and then reading a couple of days later that he had gone. Would be nice to think we could get him back and he would be the same (if not better) player, but how often does that happen in reality? I guess a lot depends on exactly what HE wants from his career - surely he can't be happy with how things are playing out.

Looking at it from Burkes point of view what better move is there for him than to 'come home'?

If Gary Brazil (who knows him very well) puts his arm around him and gives him a good talking to I can see no reason why he can't get back to being the player he was before he left.

I would take a punt on him and bring him back.

Forest do need another winger. But what type? The one that won't track back?

Burke. The player he 'was' before he left is on record. He was very exciting in an indifferent Forest side in a mediocre squad.

He doesn't seemed to have progressed since leaving Forest. If anything? He's gone backwards.

Some players seem to do well 'at Forest.' See: Gary Birtles. They're 'home birds.'

Burke at Forest. A loan move at best. We don't want to be giving WBA millions to strengthen in return for a player who may do exactly what he's done for them. i.e. 'not very much.'

I can't see Aitor getting along with a player who doesn't track back. Gon' didn't track back vs WBA and it cost 'us' 3 points. He was 'Gon' from the 1st team the next match after.

What winger Forest do get in January will be interesting. I don't see it being Burke. Pace and Power, yes. Attitude is key.

He is definitely in need of some love and someone to manage his injuries / fitness.

Also from Nicko

MILLWALL. Keen on Ollie Burke at WBA. Not playing so could do with a run out on loan. Would do well there.
