International Football - England - Euros - World Cup Etc
An England France final is about as appealing as a visit to the in laws. Not buying this Gareth is doing what is necessary to get is through stuff either.
Winning ugly is fine but don’t kid me its all part of some grand plan because I don’t think he has a clue how to get this bunch of talented individuals to play as a cohesive team. Tactical genius is not bringing on 3 subs in a panic when a mediocre opponent scores against you with 15 mins to go. Far from convinced he wasnt planning on bringing Bellingham off and then changed his mind aswell.
Im hoping playing a more talented team next in the dutch will force our individuals to show us what they can do.

It isn't a plan, it's just where we are at. Portugal won the Euros with goalless draws and pen shoot outs and we are due a trophy.

I don't think it's something that can change mid tournament as the alarm bells have been ringing for a couple of years now. It's embedded.

We've been due a trophy for many years but we always seem to want it less than our opponents.

Greece won the cup playing absolute dire football too.

It happens but I don't expect us to win it.

Yep good summary. The Trippier at LWB is still baffling though, the players don't seem to want to pass to him. On the plus side Shaw will probably start the semi final.

This must be a joke surely...

Gary Lineker has backed Frank Lampard to succeed Gareth Southgate as England manager.

Well if we are going down that road then how about Rooney? Or Gerrard?

Seriously though surely any new coach doesn't need to be an Englishman.

I think tournament experience is important for an England manager. I'm not massively into Lampard but at least he's been involved in the odd tournament. And he's much more capable than Gerrard or Rooney.

Yeah I'd rather Lamps over Gerrard and Rooney. However, doubt it'll be any of them, Potter, Howe or Pochettino (who has said in the past he'd like the job).

Potter for me seems like an FA kind of guy.
