You need a bit of luck to go your way etc.
You can never tell. I mean look at Greece in 2004 for example.
We have a chance but so do all the others.
Lets see how it pans out.
I think Bowen deserves being picked over Grealish.

Branthwaite had to go, taking a bang average 32 year old Dunk makes no sense to me.
Grealish... tough one, do think offers more than bowen only because he plays off the left whereas we have 4 who can play bowen position

Seems like we have a truly golden generation but a lack of expectation to get over the line. I'll be honest I don't know much about the other nations atm. Obviously France are strong but the bookies have us as favorites.
Not sure MGW has done enough to get ahead of those in his position, 10s are palmer, Bellingham foden etc

Grealish barely played this season, I like that Southgate has finally rewarded actual performance. Eze, Gordon and Bowen have all been significantly better than him this year. We're so stacked in those positions, it doesn't matter anyway! Saka, Foden, Bellingham and Palmer will get the bulk of the playing time, be interesting to see who comes on for them though.
Agree with you on Dunk, I guess they wanted some experience in there. I guess we'll finally get to see whether Maguire was holding us back all this time!

Guehi being the latest 2017 England world cup winner to step up to England first team.
We have 3 of that team in the squad iirc

Completely agree mate this was based on the preliminary squad and particularly Madison who hadn't been selected now anyway. He wouldn't have gotten near the side like Madison in previous years.
Im torn with Grealish. I can't help but think Peps micro management turns him into one of these compact robots whereas Carlo Ancelotti let's players play. I think we've missed the best possible Grealish because of pep.
Either way he's a big match player and even with fitness it's a big call.

He's never really done much for England. Plus he was never getting near the pitch anyway, Saka, Foden, Palmer and Bellingham will dominate the majority of game time in his position. Then Gordon and Bowen are clearly offering more than him right now IMO as backups/high energy subs with a bit of pace.
We've spent years begging Southgate to pick players on form and now he finally does, need to praise him for it!

I agree. What I mean is I wish we saw Grealish go a different way career wise.
You make a good point with the back up form players. Even disregarding the PL season Gordon had tournament success last summer and Bowen scored the winner in a European final.
