Appeal For PSR Breach
I think the Premier league are happy we failed in appealing, well perhaps they would've been happier if they added 2/3/4 more points to it.

Lets see what they do to Man Shitty as there are stories going about the they might get relegated to the Championship or even having the charges dropped and if that happens the shite will really hit the fan.

But I think its clear to people the PL cannot organise a piss up in a brewery and we are far from probably being the greatest league in the world because of all the shite thats been going on and will continue to go on.

Nope. No mention of those.

Obviously was not as controversial an issue as the rest of us presumed!

So I read the original decision and now I've read the appeal decision. I'm no lawyer but it seems to me that every single argument the club made across the two hearings was simply thrown out. If I recall the first decision correctly, the club has failed to persuade either panel that it acted appropriately on any single point of argument or there was a suitable mitigation for any aspect of the PSR overshoot. We only got a lesser punishment because we held our hands up and fessed up at the earliest opportunity. We didn't win an argument to lessen the punishment.

Accordingly I'm at the conclusion that the club has acted completely recklessly by buying too many players or not selling enough players. What the hell was Marinkais doing? It was either an arrogant disregard of the rules or simply a complete and utter shambles of management or organisation to enable the club to be steered to compliance. EM's screwed up big time on this, just like he did with that ridiculous statement the other week. He should know better. If he doesn't learn from these experiences then we'll never get anywhere in the prem and probably end up back at the bottom of the Championship where we were when we bought us.

What does this mean?

84.  Some of the criticisms of the Decision have involved a minute examination of the words used by the Commission. Decisions such as these should not be subjected to microscopic forensic examination and interpreted as if they were statutes which have been drafted by Parliamentary Counsel. Allegations of infelicities of language or errors which are not material to the ultimate decision add to the complexity and costs of proceedings and are rarely likely to lead to a successful challenge of a decision.

I think its time to move on. We know what we have to do and its in "our hands" i.e. us the fans, the club, the players, everyone.

We can all look forward to next year because it could be a right royal sh*t show, Leicester, Everton in administration and all those clubs panicking.

Yes I agree EM needs to take SOME of the blame but he is the owner of the club not the runner of the club. If he gets told everything is fine then what more can he do because you need to trust your employees.

EM signs off every single player acquisition.
He was also told plainly in January 23 by our Chief finance officer we were heading for a PSR breach.

Whether he deliberately broke the rules or was lead to believe things would be OK we will never know but ultimately it was his decision.

It matters not whether he was mislead or he chose to break the rules. Both point to rank bad management on his part. No other club in the prem is run in such a reckless way. We may escape this season by our finger nails but in future seasons, such poor performance will invariably lead to our demise.

We chose to maximise profit on a player rather than adhere to p and s rules. So the spirit of the rules being profit and sustainability are not fit for purpose as it encourages sale or f assets for less than market value to fit arbitrary deadlines…
Ridiculous.

Spot on Ozzy these "rules" are madness!!!!!

The rules are those Premier League clubs voted for. We are now a Premier League club and vote accordingly.
Our club peers set the rules and we broke them whether they are fair or not.

Time to move on now. Never thought we should have appealed despite inconsistent application of the rules and timings.
