I just can't wait for season to end. Its been such a horrid season after last season gave us all hope and a feeling of optimism - this one has seen that all come crashing down. We may yet survive but I don't know how much I care.
It feels that we've become so remote from that team that connected with the fans in that amazing playoff season. We aren't really recognisable to the side that performed a minor miracle last season.
From selling brennan and signing sangare who is one of the biggest disappointments I can remember - especially for the price -, the dreadful var and ref decisions (a huddersfield fan has created a forest voodoo doll), sacking cooper, the points deduction and now buying into trumpian conspiracy theories. It's all been so depressing. And that's before we even focus on what has been happening on the pitch in terms of performances which have ranged from brilliant - Newcastle away wasn't a dream - too terrible or just lethargic and uninterested.
To be honest, I'm as aggrieved as anyone about the bad decisions but I also think there were better ways of dealing with it than losing credibility and calling the ref a cheat. Incompetent, incapable, weak but a cheat - unfounded accusations are how you lose the moral high ground

With you on this even if it reads very pessimistic. Horrible season on the pitch after having supposedly built a top 10 team. Absolute circus of a season off the pitch.

I'm a glass half full type of fella and I will wait fully till when or if they release the audio we've requested and if they don't release the recordings people will make their own decisions on if the ref and var were cheats but it wouldn't look good for them.

It will be edited and altered. They aren’t professional for a start and swear and don’t follow simple protocol. The Newcastle release of audio was a terrible indicator for the level of professional dialogue. It should be filmed and timestamped and released on the stroke of half time and full time to both clubs involved. Better still it should be made available live to the media to play at half time and full time. Only then will the level improve.
Dermot on Sky really annoyed me - said the threshold for contact in the box has gone up over the last few weeks- why? If it’s a penalty in December it needs to be a penalty in April- integrity of competition!
There is a case that all three have been given in similar circumstances.
I just think we will be made an example of. All in the establishment will want us down now…

Why Football referees think they are better than say rugby or cricket shows an inbuilt level of arrogance. Reality would seem that football has implemented var in the worst form. We don't get these controversies other sports because other sports are transparent and open.
If any good comes of any of this it would be to shatter the old boys club that 'elite' referees seem to have. But I won't hold my breath.
And yes, a foul in December is not a foul in April argument is so weak. Certainly can't recall that rule change coming in

I've never felt so disconnected from football in all of my life, it's a game I've been addicted to since the age of 4, but it's really not the same game anymore.

Exactly the same on all counts, been going to Forest since 4 and I've honestly totally fallen out of love with football this year.

I was a late starter - 5 for me - but agree on all counts.
Not good on the pitch - with a few exceptions.
