In my opinion the so called punch did not warrant a red card and I found Yates reaction to the incident rather pathetic.
Some predictable posts blaming Nuno and our defending again but the truth is (again) that if we were more clinical in front of goal (Wood) and if we made better decisions and delivred a better final ball (Elanga) then we most probably would not have lost that game.

If you watch the replay of the 2nd goal- Wood is at CB having marked the scorer, he stays in line rather than attacking the ball/closing down the man. No way is that Nuno’s fault

Nuno is head coach, not saying its all his fault but its his responsibility to say that isn’t acceptable in our play and make sure it doesn’t keep happening. CHO been at fault for a few goals this season, I know its not his only job but he needs to improve his all round game. He isn’t at at Chelsea any more where he can just wait for the ball to arrive and forget everything else.

What is VAR doing if its not asking the ref to look again at incidents such as that? As for the commentators comments about Yates being lucky not to be sent off, what were they watching? More unconscious bias towards a big 6 side. Our organisation for set pieces is woeful, every time I think we can't get any worse and it does. I genuinely thought Nuno would sort this aspect of our game out.

I am not dressing anything just stating a fact that we are not clinical enough yet the defence always gets slated when we lose. It was Tottenham a top four club and a Champions League team most seasons and it was away from home. Was you expecting us to go there play them off the park and win?

We conceded three goals, how can the defence not be subjected to criticism? Our xG (which is not something I put much stock in) was apparently higher than Tottenham's yesterday. I didn't expect us to play them off the park but its pretty obvious what their strengths and weaknesses are, yet we leaned into them. Had Cooper been in charge he would have been quite rightly criticised defensively for that performance. Its schoolboy stuff mate.

I'm getting just a little bit sick and tired of reading on here the blame game!!!
How about, just for once, we give some credit to the opposition? Apart from a 20 minute spell in the first half, Tottenham had us on the ropes. They could so easily have won the game by 5 or 6 goals. If it hadnt been for some outstanding saves from Sels, we wouldve got well and truly battered. Spurs played some enjoyable, fluid play and were one of the most easy on the eye opponents I have seen this season. Yesterdays game was a free hit. We manage to win, then happy days and we are in a state of euphoria. Draw and it is a great result for us. Lose, well it is 4th placed Spurs, we werent expected to win. If we had won or drawn, then the chances are they wouldve had an off day. Win, well just look at the players at their disposal. Spurs have much better players. Those players showed us how good they were. Spurs deserved their win!
