Nuno Espirito Santo

There aren’t many managers who would put their faith in two 21 year old centre backs in our league position. He’s put faith in Omo, Murillo and Williams, who Cooper didn’t fully trust. He’s also got the best out of Dominguez and Danilo looked great against Fulham. He’s transformed Wood and was brave enough to decide that we needed a new keeper, despite the embarrassment of us buying two keepers this season already. Hopefully he can really build on this season going forwards

Let's not go overboard after one win. He was forced into starting Omo and Williams (he started Montiel initially before injury and poor performance). Dominguez hasn't started much in the last month and neither had Danilo. I'd argue if anything he's underused both of those guys. Deciding we needed a new keeper was also not exactly the bravest thing.

He was brave initially to go with only 2 Central midfielders before gradually getting less brave until that Fulham game where he reinstated CHO and Elanga.

Agreed Wassy. 5 Days ago there were some actually discussing whether we needed to get rid now. One win later he is hailed as a tactical genius and the best manager ever. The truth is somewhere in the middle but heres to Nuno learning more about his squad, what works and how to get the best out of them.

Heard a Fulham fan saying their players are just batting out the season now. Bit worrying.

Looked that way midweek! Let's hope the final day doesn't matter

We've seen Nuno tamper a lot which has resulted in mistakes. Not to keep bringing up the C word but our previous manager had similar stages of changing the lineup. It goes hand in hand with having too many players and not winning games.

I'm a firm believer of stability. The quality margins are narrow in the league minus a couple of very good teams, probably one very bad one and one or two players per team who shine or are the weak link. If you look at the improvement of Neco and CHO just to name a couple, players just need time and confidence to improve and be more consistent.

If we can finish the season 17th or higher Nuno deserves our full support going into next season with a more balanced squad and stable starting 11 which we know he wants.

Agreed.

But lets not go overboard when we don't win either.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. If we stay up he has done his job. If we don’t he hasn’t.

Since Nuno came in we have been the 13th best team in the league with the 9th best defence. We have scored a few too. I think we have made progress.

That is right MR.

However some are already sharpening their knifes in preperation for us not winning today.

This isn’t really about Nuno but Im a bit disappointed in him blaming the ref for not giving a red yesterday and saying that was a turning point.

Nuno mate, that’s not why we lost the game. I am very fed up with some of the excuses coming from our fans and not impressed the head coach is doing it too.

We are Nottingham Forest. I want us to stay in the Premier League because we deserve to. By playing better football, by being stronger than the opponent and standing up to them. Basically to grow a pair of bollocks. What I don’t want is for us all to become a whinging moaning bunch of softies who say everything is unfair and stacked against us. Man up. Shut everything out and play your game like we did on Wednesday and results will look after themselves.

Maybe we give the opposition a goal lead so we can prove we're real men when we get our occasional win?  Salv, this is the game now. Var, rolling around on the floor, every comment made by a manager being highlighted, every decison being analysed.
